Posting from one of these laptops right now. I've had around 3 months of usage and the touchscreen and foldability aspect of it has made my existing tablet completely obsolete. Tent mode is particularly useful for use on trains or on a table The IPS screen is top quality, with deep blacks and rich colours. The side screen bezels are so small that the 14" screen fits into what would traditionally be a 13" frame. The i7, 8GB of RAM and SSD make it incredibly fast. The laptop isn't particularly heavy either. Battery life is excellent too.

I'd definitely recommend this to anybody who wants a fast and versatile laptop. If anybody has any questions about it I'll be happy to answer.

Just for monitoring their price 'management', this has now increased to 1 penny short of £900!!!!

Anyone having issues with the tracking on the mouse? It seems to stick and Im finding is zooming in on webpages and moving opened tabs in new windows? The only stuff I have installed are Chrome and AVG. Any help would be ace

I'm an idiot. I've just realised I have the 710 variant, not the 510. The 710 is much slimmer in depth with smaller bezels. The keyboard is probably different too.

Does the keyboard feel a little narrow to type on? I had a brief go at typing on it and it seemed a bit squashed into the centre. I'm used to a 14" Sony Vaio keyboard but I'm looking to refresh and they don't make them anymore! But I'm gonna be typing a lot so I was wondering how have you found it with typing for long periods of time?

This laptop is utter tosh! Yeah like toshiba is crap! Don't waste your hard earned money on this piece of ****.

No stock anywhere it seems. Shame as it looks a spot on deal, but i'm sure there will be plenty more deals like this now ... delighted to finally see 256gb SSD / 8gb RAM / Light 13" and 14" laptops for around £500-£600 starting to become the norm.

Annoyingly one of the stores in West Yorkshire now has this back in...Spoke to Currys, they are awaitng to hear about a restock...just a shame the 10% off has finished

Two shifts so I guess I can live with one decent shift button. Lenovo have not really made progress since buying IBMs pc making division over 10 years ago which is a shame. Keyboards were better before.

Isn't 14", doesn't have thin side bezels, is heavier, doesn't fold, nor does it have a touchscreen. Not a valid comparison.

Additionally to get similar innards (i7, 8GB, 256GB SSD, IPS Panel) the total comes to £766 vs £566, so that's £200 more. Not quite sure where you're getting the "2x better laptop for £150" from.

The keyboard is one of the better laptop keyboards. My only niggle is the placement of the right shift button that's too close to the arrow keys.

I haven't done any battery life tests, but from memory I can recall times where I've got almost a whole working day out of it without recharging.

nope. I am talking about 15.6 inch laptop. but yes when it comes to weigh i do admit it will be heavier. They also sell lightweight laptops too.

Word of warning, we have one of the last generation of these - it's had the USB board replaced twice, and a motherboard, in just under a year.

We bought the "next business day" repair warranty, which turned out to be "next business day we have available", which was ~2 weeks.

Nope you are wrong it is valid / would be if stock available. You can't read the deal and then when it is explained to you, you argue against it! What's the point?!

For every day use a 1080p display will work better due to the scaling issues that still plagues windows. This is a lot of laptop for the money.

zenbook flip is aluminium and thinner. this is plastic, heavier but better spec.

Is this a good alternatve to the Zenbook....good spec way cheaper than Zenbok with thei spec but seems a bit heavier
