Pleasantly surprised to see Lego have reduced the price of the Death Star (along with select other SW Lego sets) by 10%. Not as good as the 40% they'll be doing on some sets but, still this wasnt expected to go on offer.

You're missing the point - most people who buy this aren't buying it for their kids!

looks ok to me a lego geek, but something tells me you may need to wrap up warm due to a very cold front coming in.
Thanks op appreciated.

Oh I expect cold votes from the "£3 for a lego person" people lol but, as long as it helps someone I'm not bothered .

I noticed that dropped the Y-Wing from £65 down to £49, making it illegible for the R2-D2 polybag. Cheeky.

Good discount but still can't justify the mark up from the previous set when so little has changed

You could get a minifig for £2.99... or a brick separator for £1.99

The previous set was £280 I think. I got it for a little less than that. This new set is basically the same but the RRP has gone up to over £400!!!
I dread to think of the new price for the rumoured rerelease of the UCS Falcon, which was £350 I think on first release (not that long ago). I saw a potential price of $800, so expect around £700, a doubling from the previous release. Crazy prices these days.

Lego official site is a total rip off and their points scheme sucks no wonder folk use other sites before them selling over inflated prices then give folk measly Points offers and pathetic % off which brings the prices down to the avridge or the same as some competitor sites. a few days ago that death star was earning a person 3 x points (bonus considered as discount) which would have basicly worked out the same price as the sale price or an even better return. a £40 Discount off a £400 aimed at 14 year olds+ but the key word being £400 and 14 year olds + com'on Lego wtf are you's doing?
I paid £200+ for a (Discontinued) Ewok Village last week very good value for money even though half the mini figures can be found n other sets which makes it a bit less exclusive Lego need to stop ripping people off by recycling Parts of old sets and mini figures into various newer sets or newer versions of old sets it's a total scam.
Again Lego wtf are you's doing?

You just haven't learned how to use the Lego shop to your own advantage. I only ever buy when they have discounted items, and have earned some pretty good freebies cos their points.
You also haven't learned what a comma is.
