Newquay Airport now flying to Faro as well but not on HP web site.
I've been in the February school half term and had half a day of rain the rest of the week was pure sunshine, we even had a bbq on the beach one night.
We came back with a great sun tan, but as you say it can be a bit chilly if the sun goes in and there's a strong sea breeze.

I'm keeping a beady eye out for May bank holiday week; despite the claims school holiday time holidays are only twice the price of term time holidays, the last time I looked, the holiday I wanted was more than FIVE TIMES the price of the week before half term.
Week before = £179 pp
BH week = £995pp!!!!!
Week after = £240pp

If you're going away as a couple, you can't beat the albufeira.
If you're eating out, the food is exceptional. I highly recommend the Teppenyaki called Fuji it's just past the new town, there's lots of nice restaurants though. Old town is nice for a chilled meal and a few drinks, New town is rowdy but if you fancy a mad night get yourself there!
Great deal
