A good price for something that is just as important to have in your home as a smoke detector IMO because in the developed world, carbon monoxide is the single largest cause of accidental poisoning. Bought this alarm from Amazon in 2014 and have not had to replace the original batteries yet. Our alarm is wall-mounted at eye level so we can read the digital display and see the flashing LED. They don't advise fixing them to the ceiling as heated air from a heat source burning fuel incorrectly can form a layer near your ceiling which can prevent the Carbon Monoxide from reaching the detector.
