seems like they are selling really old stock, all the latest amazon review say battery fails within a year

Ive got smoke alarms dotted all over my house. They are an absolute essential. However the number of negative reviews on Amazon for this one make it a no no for me. Dont know if they should even be selling them.

Bear in mind that you probably want a mix of photoelectric and ionisation smoke alarms in the house as they detect different fires.
Probably better to research it yourself than to take my word for it. For something like fire safety my only advice is not to trust to some random on the internet.

Well if it is so important and technical, this should be regulated by the government or by the local councils etc
we can do our research of course but at the end of the day, John Average might not be so well informed
