I am looking into these at the moment for wheelie bin storage. Anyone doing the same might need to know that this one wont fit what I consider to be the 'standard' wheelie bin size.

Don't know about this midi one but got a waterproof padlock from poundland last year and they are not big enough for the max one.

If it works for him then it works, if it doesn't work for you that's fine. I used to run a washing machine and dryer in a cellar, it's not the most elegant solution but it worked. A lot of houses were designed before we needed so many appliances, I cut up a cupboard and swapped a 1.5 sink for a single one to get my dishwasher in.

Better option is to buy appliances to suit your house! If you can't fit a dishwasher in don't buy a dishwasher.
I would love a big kitchen island but it won't fit. Tell you what I'll move the oven and sink outside to make room.

I have the Max as a bin store, just be aware that the back of these could probably be cut open with a sharp Stanley knife, and the locking mechanisms is also plastic so I would not put anything of great value in them.

Bikes are are 18 and 20 inch kids bikes so more teenage bikes is the max on offer?

bike tents are a waste of money - you will be lucky to get one season out of one - far too fragile

you will get at least a couple of kids bikes in one - depends on size of bikes

How many kids bikes will go into this 18-20 inch size bikes... I looked at the bike tent before hand but a bit dubious of the zip. This looks far sturdier imo

Having to go down the garden for a teaspoon when you're not dressed and it's pouring with rain would put me off

Was not an option as getting plumbing to the wall where he freezer sits would have been a very big job, 2 doorways either side.

so what would have happened if a pipe had burst due to the freezing ?

cold supply to a washing machine is usually at main pressure too

feel free to confirm with a plumber that im 'talking rubbish'

To be fair there is a risk that freezing could cause damage and leaks, ice expands as it freezes so could crack the internal plastic plumbing inside the washing machine etc, I have only done it as the washing machine is a few years old and should a pipe burst it is only in the garden that will get flooded and not a garage etc.

better option is to buy a fridge freezer that can cope with outdoor temperatures (most cannot) & put that outside instead

Talking rubbish.
Had my washing machine in a garage. Uninsulated pipes just set in concrete. Froze regularly. Just can't use it until it defrosts. Never had an issue. Moved home and washing machine indoors now still going strong.

We only have a small kitchen and wanted to add a dishwasher, as the dishwasher was new and the washing machine a few years old I decided to put the washing machine outdoors. Has been outside since June last year with no problems so far apart from the filler hose froze once or twice.

I purchased this one last year, for anyone that is wondering you can fit in a washing machine and still shut the doors etc, but it will not fit a washing machine and a tumble dryer etc for example as it is not wide enough, for that you will need the max version.

Great price paid similar from B&Q offer last year, does the job and purchased this as a second one to store more garden crap :smiley:
