This promotion is open to anyone aged 55 years or over at the time they are travelling. Proof of age (valid photo ID) must be available at the time of travelling. The tickets are valid for journeys that are wholly on TransPennine Express services. They are available in both First and Standard class and are valid for travel on any TransPennine Express services timed to depart at or after 09:30 Monday to Friday and at anytime on weekends. Tickets are available for outward travel on dates between 18/04/2017 and 16/05/2017 and return journeys must be made within one month of the outward date on the ticket. Tickets are priced on a two - zone system. A journey between any two stations in the north of England are priced at £39 First Class and £19 standard class. Travel to or from any Scottish station are priced at £59 First Class and £29 standard class. Tickets can be bought on the train from a conductor if travelling from an unstaffed station. Club 55 tickets are only available to buy online at tpexpress.co.uk/club55, not available via any other website page or via a mobile device. A further discount of 20% is available on the production of a Senior, Disabled (for holders aged 55 and over) or Two Together Railcard (where both holders are aged 55 and over). No need to book in advance. No reservation needed. An admin fee of £10 may be payable if you wish to make a change to your travel plans or if you wish to get a refund. Nectar points are only available when purchasing at tpexpress.co.uk/club55 and will be applied as per terms and conditions available at tpexpress.co.uk/nectar.

Think I spotted it as soon as you posted ...... and it is a good deal - Arriva Wales do a similar offer from time to time - unfortunately Chester does not operate these Northern trains but do the Arriva Wales! Train travel is way too expensive in this country so anything which gives a discount is always a bonus!

over £90 return Scunthorpe to Windemere with my disabled adult rail card. How do I book at the offer price? Can't see it and yes I'm sad to say over 55 too.

It is only available on Transpennine trains. As far as I can see on the map Windermere is not served by Transpennine. You can book a return to Oxenhope which is on the offer and then book a separate return ticket for £7.90 from Oxenhope to Windemere making it still a cheap day out around £39 in total.
