Sim which comes out top for medium users. If you're new to iD Mobile or soon to be out of contract with it, this cheap almost 'all-you-can-eat' deal could be for you given that for the vast majority 3GB is sufficient.

For £8/mth you get 1,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and 3GB of 4G data. You can choose a one-month 'ShockProof' contract, meaning you can limit your bill to no more than £5 over the tariff price. Alternatively go for a one-month 'Go-To' plan meaning you can roll your unused data over into the next month.

Who can get it?
Need-to-knows
One-month contract.
Runs off the Three network.
If you exceed your allowance, it's 10.24p/MB for data, 40p/min for calls to UK mobiles or landlines and 14p per text.
Tethering isn't allowed with this network.
You'll be credit-checked – see our Credit Scores guide.

Not a bad deal but no ID is crap on customer service

Not feeling this deal, OP says "all you can eat" - well I have that on mins/texts on Plusnet Mobile with 1GB more for £2 more a month & the data is capped at 4GB, 10.24p a MB :laughing: in a smartphone - not so smart plan.

Good for low users but certainly not all you can eat, not voting either way.

Are they still part of Dixon Carphone? And you can get poor customer service from any company - Vodafone seems to get slated on here for its customer service.

Hi MrChi, we offer 14 day returns for any coverage issues and have recently introduced 4G calling to improve coverage.
Customers are able to make contact via Facebook or Twitter to get help if required.
Why not give us a try with a 30 day plan.

I've been with most the top network suppliers and I'd have to say ID is one of the best I have been with, now almost 2 years.
Customer service have answered in under 5 mins when I had to call to swap deal. Reception has been excellent, better than the Mrs O2.
Only thing is, if you want to swap to another deal and keep you're number, you have to take it to another network and back again, other than that, everything can be done on the app, which is great.

Hi Anon32, you may be able to tether on our network however we don't recommend it as your allowances can be used up quickly.

Terrible company to deal with. I already had a 5.00/month SIM from them and applied for another for one of my spare phones only to get an email later (which I expected from these cowboys) telling me order canceled, I'd failed their credit check. I knew this would happen as it has happened more than once to me. Last year I bought a phone from them t/a CPW and paid for it outright, much like handing cash over the till except online with my debit card. No contract involved, just a phone, 100% paid up front, later that day AFTER payment cleared I got the email....the phone I'd just bought wouldn't be sent to me and they'd issue a refund because, you guessed it, despite having paid the full price in advance I'd "failed the credit check".

One brilliant piece of advice I received from this otherwise joke of a company was to go online to clearscore.com and check my credit history for free because there was probably some mistake in it since who the heck can't afford a quid a week for a SIM card? So I did, and not only did I have an unblemished credit rating well above the national and local average, but on further investigation...and this is what makes my blood boil whenever this company's name comes up in deals, there was absolutely no record of them or any agent on their behalf ever requesting my credit rating. Not even once. Plenty of other companies, mostly banks, showed up going back years but zilch from CPW or ID Mobile. The only conclusion I drew from that was they had lied to me on each occasion (even the phone I paid for in full) and rather than give the cheap deals on offer to everyone some are randomly rejected on the pretence they've failed some credit check.

Cancelled my existing SIM with them that same day and went back to EE for the 20GB/month data sim for 16.49/month with the first 2 months free. I won't go back to iDmobile or CPW if they offered their deals for free because I kinow for a fact that same old email will probably arrive later in the day saying I couldn't have their free phone on a 0 quid/month contract because I'd failed their credit check. Parcel of rogues they are and if they even think of charging me now I've left them I'll complain to every watchdog regulating the mobile tarrif business and show them cast iron proof these scoundrels offer dirt cheap deals but don't always honour them, citing a bullsht credit check failure on the potential customer's part. They had me really worried that somebody had stole my ID and running up bad credit in my name but it was all just smoke and mirrors so they didn't have to honour the contract. And I was an existing customer who'd dealt with them twice before in the same year. Before I found out how they operated I had previously praised them on here as the 5 pounds/month SIMs are a steal and I got great speeds on their network. My posting history should reflect that, but not now. Never again. Lied to me once, shame on them, then lied to me again, shame on them and me. But that's the last time they take me for a mug.

Well that was a bust. 48 hours after ordering and receiving an email
I telephoned and gave details to some guy who placed me on hold "for a minute while he checks" only to be answered by a nonplussed woman Kayleen who needed the same details again. That was a bit rude - he could have told me he was transferring. Ten minutes on hold and Kayleen was able to confirm the status of the order was "open".

Meantime I was able to check no credit search or check had taken place and no direct debit instruction so I'm struggling to find any evidence of anything happening at all in 2 working days. As a first impression that's not great so I decided to abort and cancel there and then. Another 10 minutes on hold and Kayleen came back with "If you cancel now you will be unlikely to get this deal again." That was the point, I told her.

Hi SillyFencer, we understand your opinion due to these reviews however most UK networks also have very low scores on Trustpilot due to unhappy customers.
Whilst the plan this deal relates to has now expired, why not keep an eye out for any new deals so you can test us for yourself for 30 days.

Personally i'd just like to know why the poor coverage.

Random network signal whilst I'm @ work and then today data coverage seems etchy on 3g, I'm not exactly out in the sticks.

Personally going to get my PAC code and transfer to another service.

Sorry to reply to my own post but the alarm bells are on full just now.

Having cancelled my order last Thursday I received an email just now from Id Mobile telling me my order was successful and has been dispatched. I telephoned and was placed "on hold" to silence until I gave up after a few minutes, then tried again with better luck, eventually speaking to a lady whose opening line was to ask me to call back in 1 hour as the system was down. I explained I needed to help abort a mistaken order despatch and she put me through... to cancellations dept. There, the operator told me she could see my cancellation last Thursday but that I had placed a new order today.

That's just not true - and impossible that a family member could have done it. Plus I have no incentive whatsoever (I went with the Three deal on Friday, the sim arrived on Saturday - hooray for them!).

After some minutes of "no I didn't", and "from my side it looks like you did" eventually I was told the order was placed online today at 2.30pm. I mused that it could be identity theft but it's being delivered to my home address, and allegedly with my full details, so it's hard to see what's in it for the perpetrator? And it's just impossible that anyone obtained my details - and if they did what are the chances they would place an order with the very mobile operator I had just cancelled with!!! (And have it sent to my home address... in my name...)

UPDATE: having spent 30-40 minutes of my evening explaining I have NOT placed a new order (and I can prove that now :-) ) and leaving the rogue "second" order cancelled I just received an email that they have set up a Direct Debit successfully.

Guys: good luck if you go with this provider. My evidence is anecdotal, but so far I've seen no sign they know what they're doing. I have no relationship with this provider now, why are they misusing the details I provided on a cancelled order like this?

Where do I start? One of the worst experiences dealing with a Customer Services team. No problem ownership. Poor English. Broken promises. No escalation path. Money taken incorrectly. Refunds very slow. Refunds needing personal information over and above that already supplied etc etc etc.
