Found some clearance laptops in my local Tesco Loughborough Extra.
This is for the purple version but they did have the blue but it was £119 instead.
Specs:
11" HD LED Anti-Glare screen
Windows 10
Intel N3050 processor
2GB RAM
32GB eMMC storage
Long battery life
This is by no means a powerhouse but for general browsing, listening to music or watching the odd film etc it's perfect.

Store specific I am guessing.

Would not buy one of these again in a million years. Read rave reviews. I got one a while back the 32GB eMMC storage out of the box, was not even enough to install an essential Win 10 update even after deleting what programs I could off it. You need additional external storage.
ie: A device that out of the box, hasn't even enough space to run updates for the OS should not be on sale.
Avoid.

Bought a used 2009 MacBook Pro for £200 off eBay. waaaayyyyyy better with an SSD

Never understood this, I have a HP 7 that's 32GB and I've just updated it to the creators update and still have 13.5GB free.

These are utter crap. HP should be ashamed of themselves selling toss like this.

It's a basic laptop and I'm finding it just fine for browsing here and the general internet, social media etc. For £99 it's a bargain, if you need more storage buy a SD card. I've got about 12GB of space left after all updates and some useless app deletions.
For anyone looking for these, at my local they were advertised right at the front of the store on a big billboard showing prices of various clearance tech goods.

Yep nearly 2/3rds of the storage already full. And you just bought it. Wait until Win 10 needs to update further eg Creators Update plus any other programs
you really need.
Hope you got your big capacity SD card handy, you're gonna need it.
I found the last HP Chromebook I had incredibly slow too to be honest. N22. People raved about the battery life but there just wasn't enough RAM and the EmmC storage sucked.

Phantom heat on this deal. As discussed above, the device is not worth the price vs functionality vs specs - waste of money! No doubt the Gestapo mods will slap and drag me out like Dao for mentioning anything negative re:Loughborough-connection..oops, I did it again lol

That's a bit unfair to HP. The N22 was a Lenovo device.

This laptop still retails for £179 so for what the price is it's a hot deal. There's a reason these are still for sale since they were released early 2016. Yes they might not be fit for some people, but for others they obviously are.
Speaking from experience, I bought one and am using it to type this reply, all updates are complete and its coping just fine.
This is not something to buy in place of a high spec'd tablet or laptop - hence the price.

Whatever the possible workarounds, it was not fit for purpose. Eg these threads on the HP forum.
