Whilst I can appreciate the work that's obviously gone into these products, it does seem like milking a cow that's already dried out a long time ago. I certainly wouldn't be sticking a £15 book in front of any child under a certain age, and expecting them to be well looked after.
After clicking the link and seeing they're meant to be £30 each normally, I definitely wouldn't be giving them to a child under 10 for that money. My eldest is 11, and he'd look after it without a doubt, but my 5 year old wouldn't even think about that all the time.

I don't think these ones are really for kids (at least this edition), I think these are more for adult collectors, rather than little kids

I'll wait for the slipcase edition to add to my collection.
These are always going down to £15 at release for a few weeks. Bought the first 2 for the same price. And yes they aren't for little ones

We gave the first one to my son when he was 6, the second one when he was 7 and he will get this one later in the year, aged 8. He loves these illustrated books and there are no issues with him looking after them properly. As long kids are taught to look after books and appreciate them, I cannot see why these can't be given to children. They are fantastic editions.
