Got to agree. Had the older style that packed in after some years. Bought newer ones recently and I was just disappointed all round.

My wife informs me that GHD has gone the way of Cadburys*. Corioliss or Cloud Nine are the names to conjure with
*serviceable but not desirable which I suspect was aimed at me

Got like 8 of these in the cupboard, all broken where the cable spins round in the unit... it's so weak. Avoid these...

You can buy a replacement lead for when it breaks at point lead spins... Look on ebay £8ish

Fixed loads of these over the years , 5 minute job to change the lead if it breaks , half hour job if the thermal resistor fails . Never chuck broken ones away , worse case there's a couple of sites that do fixed price repairs on these
