This Wild Bird Feeding Station has all you need to attract a wide variety of birds to your garden. It is complete with four feeders, as well as a bird bath and mesh feeding tray. The heavy-duty, black metal pole with four-way head and decorative finial provides a strong support. The metal pole has a spiked bottom, so that it can be pushed directly into the ground or can be put into a feeding station patio stand.
Think the company is called charliesdirect and there appears to be £4.99 to add for delivery.

It'll also attract a variety of rats into your garden. I had one of these and enjoyed watching the birds feeding from it. Until i saw a rat the size of a small dog shinning up the pole in broad daylight. A quick Google search revealed why you shouldn't have these in your garden.

Totally agree with you.I too used to enjoy watching the birds going to the feeder. That is untill I started seeing rats in the garden. The swines were coming there in the daylight too.Got rid of every bird feeder I had,and now the rats are nowhere to be seen. The birds still come to the garden to feed on bugs/seeds (though not so many) but the dirty rats do not.

its comming up to summer, birds can fend for themselves quite easily.... thus, this is way way over priced, i got the exact same one in Robert dyas last year for £11.99

Interesting that you should say that about feeding in the Summer because the RSPB says the opposite. Basically, if you've fed them through the Winter, they will have come to rely on that food supply and so you should feed them all year round.
- the rats are in your garden anyway
- if you like to see birds all the year round, feed them all year round.
I have one of these. It's been up for a few years in a challenging location (near the coast) and is still going strong.
The pole is in 3 parts; I suggest duct taping the joins (or something) otherwise the feeding station can tend to swivel round.
I have one feeder for niger seed (great for goldfinches), one for suet logs (great for woodpeckers) and one for peanuts (great for everything). Ensure that birds can't extract whole peanuts at this time of year as young chicks can apparently choke on them

You can feed birds all year around but it is important in the winter as the frost kills off the grubs they'll find on plants and dead wood and if the ground is frozen they can't get the worms.
