Seller has literally no feedback and item seems far cheaper than other sellers.

these are duracell brand.
You would be better spending money on a more trusted brand like Ikea alkalines or gp utlra or panasonic etc, and they are cheaper.
ps duracelles last ten times longer than zinc carbon batteries which no one uses anymore. dont give con artists your money

I m sure i read somewhere on the internet about the aa and aaa batteries from Home and Bargains (amongst a few other places) being particularly good value for money?
I ll try and have a dig around and see if I can find it again.

True they do have no feedback, but I had no feedback on eBay at one time, doesn't mean I'm a crook. There are others selling for £12 and around £15, so they are not that much cheaper.
I agree with your thinking that it could be a dodgy seller and I would steer clear from this seller till they had better feedback if item was expensive. But in this case I would be prepared to be without a tenner for a few weeks till Paypal refunded me (if they ended up being a dodgy seller). If you want to be safer, there is one seller at £15 and had 5000 or so rating which works out pretty good value and pretty safe.
