The design is aerodynamic, the cabling is integrated into the frame and the rear brake is positioned under the chainstays.
This frame is UCI-approved.

Our new B'Twin Ultra Evo Vario fork is used exclusively on the B'Twin Ultra Evo Vario frame. The combination of carbon and aluminium is the ideal choice for perfect synergy between the B'Twin Ultra Evo Vario frame and fork.We have achieved a damping effect on very uneven and bumpy terrain such as paving and cobblestones. OK so because i knew something you didn't that means I'm a cocksure expert or just stating the facts that i happen to know? People like you deserve no advice then don't you and the opportunity to spend your money unwisely at times through lack of information.
So I need help choosing which one to buy. I will be using it to commute from home to work daily and in the summer go on extended weekend trips for cardio.
I am leaning towards 500 SE or 500 version but I cannot find any reviews or comparisons. The only difference I can see is a "new frame design" that is supposed to be more upright (but i cannot find any information regarding it) and new carbon fork. My budget is 350 but I always like to get best value for my money.
Please help. Any constructive opinion is welcome.

I'm sure in your own mind that seemed like a good response.
I assume perhaps you are criticising the Tesco bike but it's not hard to do a comparison with the competition like this;
Clearly the Decathlon bike is massively inferior with a freewheel based rear wheel, tourney gearing and generally lower spec parts all round for over 3x the price with quite a few horrible compromises and that is one of the cheapest road bikes out there.

Cycle weekly bike of the year 2016, Btwin is like Lidl and Aldi, excellent value for money if you can live with the brand! I own one and can't fault it.

People should judge bikes on the component quality and good judgement on the components fitted for the price point rather than the brand. Most of these bikes are either coming out completely from far east factories or just being assembled elsewhere from chinese or taiwanese components. Decathlon as a shop chain that directly imports bikes themselves and sell's through their own stores can beat the big brands on value easily. Same as Halfords whose own brands often represent far better value than the big brands sold next to them. The only difference between Decathlon and Halfords is really Decathlon set a lower standard price generally with less discounting where as Halfords do frequent large discounting of their bikes but not all the time so you have to wait for a promotion to get the best price but they happen very regularly. It's the british retail tradition of having to sell at a much higher price part of the time so they can then sell them at so called massive discounts some of the time.
Saying that I've seen many poor bikes at Decathlon that had opportunist pricing or major failings in component quality for their price point. You have to judge bikes on their individual merit. We can also see on hotukdeals that fantastic value bikes can come from all retailers especially if they are selling end of line models from the previous year.
I bought a Vertigo Carnaby from Tesco for £65 which also earnt me cashback and clubcard points to lower the price a bit more. It has a mainly Claris groupset, strong double wall wheels with cassette gearing. Decathlon pricing for the same spec bike would be around £250 and full retail for a similar bike in a LBS would be around £400 from the big brands. Probably all coming out of the same chinese factory. The Tesco offer was a geniune sale price which I'm sure was below their cost price so extremely rare. The most they ever charged for it was £200 and still great value at that price.
Pretty good bike there, if you are vertically challenged! I also think the back brake is in a silly position - aero saving will be negligible but a PITA to adjust.

I did buy it when they had XL, 105 set not mentioned so well worth the money. Great first dip into real road bikes for me, shame a car driver decided to kill it when they didn't see it or me on it. Would buy again if they had my size, and once I can ride again.

This is the simple reason I don't bother posting on here. Too many "experts".....
Would be good to see even ONE example of a professional time trial or pro bike that places their brakes there....
The most I can see a full carbon BTwin selling for in the last month on ebay is £310 here 310 full carbon
By all means buy this half specced and weird framed bike for £600

Again only available in 'XS' which seems common for Decathlon discounted bikes. Is it normal for carbon forks to be only guaranteed 2 years but the main aluminium frame guaranteed for a lifetime? It really doesn't inspire confidence in carbon forks. Would this be a good donor bike to use with a aliexpress chinese carbon frame? If so what sort of price would you get for the aluminium frame? Components seem generally pretty good and light.

Frame is stiffer down there as well so increases brake power. I have the ALUR 700 it's a cracking bike

Fairly well specced bike apart from the absurd decision to place the rear brake where they do. I see no reason whatsoever to spec a bike like that?

Aerodynamics, as simple as that. Plenty of top makes do it too on their aero bikes
