Stand up chicken roaster...
Chicken is roasted standing up with a metal cone inserted in the cavity. A more even and possibly quicker cooking is the result, similar to a rotisserie...
I just purchased one and it is larger than I expected. It looks a little like a large Mexican Hat that can allow for plenty of veg to be roasted along with the chicken. For this purpose, a removable rack is provided which sits below the chicken.
The item looks of both good quality and clever design, it is non-stick coated throughout...

Just use a glass bottle with some water or beer and stick a tray underneath ... :-P

Yeah sure, but this has certain advantages for example the chicken won't fall over while cooking or there is no non-pyrex glass to explode due to thermal shock.

Excellent deal. Voted hot.
Not quite the same as a rotisserie as the principle there is for the meat to continuously self-baste in it's own juices.
This is a bit similar to the beer can principle but without the benefit of the beer flavouring and moistening the cavity.

Agreed, spend the money on some good poultry shears instead, less clutter to store and more versatile.
