I've used the coloured ones to wrap round cables (various psu's) at work. (over the strain relief at the adaptor end) worked out really well, it stays put and reinforces the strain relief nicely. Also makes life easy. Red ended cable = laptop, green = label printer and so on :smiley:

I bought a lot of this stuff to stick in my toolbox for when I needed it. Didn't realise it had a 'best before date' which expired so when I went to use it, the stuff just didn't work.

So before you buy check how long it has!

It works some of the time for me. One thing that isnt mentioned though is that it's bloody messy! The black colour I have gets all o we your fingers etc. I found it worked well in hiding scratches in a black bumper. only temp solution but worked well for the trade in

Used the black one on the bottom sole of one of my boots which had worn through

used this to stick my dashcam mount to rear view mirror, left it a day before attaching the camera and its been there a year, pretty good stuff.

I used mine to reattach a wing mirror on my Mondeo. Worked really well.

I have used this for taking the strain on cables, especially apple ones that seem designed to fray. Making feet for devices, protecting them from scratching or reducing vibration. I've even temporarily fixed a pair of glasses with it.

Great to have in just in case it's needed.

Sounds like you may have had an out of date pack. Keep the stuff in the fridge (not the camera obviously)

It's the pathetic shelf life of unopened packets that always puts me off buying any. Polymorph is my favourite go to fixer but obviously that's hard not flexible.

I used this to seal the connections on my water butts last year. No leaks since.

Fell off of my camera and I tried it to fix a crack in my tumble drier door and it didnt work, then finally moulded a hook for my keys and it dropped off the wall. Great concept, terrible in reality
