I had one like that some years ago. It got used a few times and then shoved in the back of the shed because it was very hard to operate successfully. It's made of very thin tin and is open at the bottom so temperature regulation is almost impossible - you can't easily do a long slow cook because it needs constant attention. Personally I would recommend saving your money and putting it towards something better quality.

They are useless, save your money for a weber smokey mountain, pro q or ceramic

Dam they are expensive! Looks cool, but still, that's a lot of money for something that will spend a lot of time in the shed!

Have heard stories of these because of their build the metal contracting and bending that they no longer sit on each other correctly and your smoke and heat will being to escape before it reaches the food.
You can smoke with something as simple as a standard Weber kettle and see how you get on before jumping into the deep end with an Egg or Smoky Mountain.

Perfect for a starter. I still have my cheap bullet style smoker and another more expensive one. Anyone starting out could still produce some fantastic results with this, you just have to check it more often. Heat added!

I was just about to buy it for a wood burner! Thanks for the reviews! But heat added for the idea

Just get a Weber Smokey Mountain if you want a steel smoker. If you want a Komodo, get a Green Egg if you can afford it or Costco don't do a bad one for about £550. Forget this as an absolute waste of time, a real Barbecue (wo)man wouldn't waste their time with this! Now I'm off to Bookers for some 'meaty ribs'....
