Best phone you can get for £80! Today & tomorrow only (AliExpress have a sale on, after that you can get the 16GB for just a little more.)
This is the global version with band 20, so it'll work on UK networks, and has Google Play, etc.
Reviews generally say it's a good phone with decent camera, but that it's amazing for the price (and they're usually talking about the list price of £110)
Topcashback tracked for me within 5 minutes (but not payable until the phone is delivered, and transaction completed.)
I wanted a Mi Band 2, so I included that, as they had the lowest price for the global version of that too (£16.89)
Standard warnings about AliExpress apply: It's a marketplace similar to ebay, you're buying from a storefront hosted there (named as if it was official Xiaomi, but its not), it'll take weeks to be shipped, if it doesn't arrive you have to wait 60 days before you can get refunded - but if that happens they will refund. Customs usually doesn't apply (I've heard it is more likely if you pay for faster shipping.)

Your clearly very insightful. Perhaps you can point me towards a British built smartphone for a similar price and higher quality.

Do you know if it would work on Lyca mobile?

Xiaomi provides OTA patch updates to their phones, other brands only provide updates for their mid/high end phones beyond the first 12+ months of release.

It's £84.45 without the warranty (...it ain't worth having is it if you have to ship it back to China?) What is the Mi Band 2 like...will it work especially well with this phone as it's from the same maker...there are some problems with sync issues on the amazon reviews.
Also, how can you go about adding say the phone, the Mi Band and a flipcase and film option? ...or is it just as cheap to get those from amazon?

Don't know yet about the sync, but I guess a Xiaomi phone is going to be most likely to work.
I didn't get the flipcase as there's a few on amazon for a fiver, which is less than the combo deal.
Still, unsure if the hassle of buying from abroad is worth it, considering you might be able to get something UK sourced for 20 quid more. :smirk:

I saw an entry for £82.48 standard plus £4.xx warranty.
It said if I spent £91.xx I will get a £4 voucher.
I hadnt looked at topcashback yet.
I suspect if that was done via computer...
Any opinions on gps?

Do you mean does it work? Yes, GPS is good on all three of our Xiaomi phones, they're not known for gps issues.
