I wouldn't have thought so. I played xv without playing any of the others and was just fine. I think they are all in their self contained worlds/stories with just the odd bits of fan service and/or similarities that make it feel like a final fantasy game more than an overarching story. I could be wrong though.

Unless it's a direct sequel (x-2, xiii-2 and xiii lightning returns) then final fantasy games share nothing with each other other than the title and some reoccurring themes/characters.
So no it doesn't matter if you've played all of them or none of them, the most you'll miss is a casual nod/reference/easter egg for longtime fans.

Checked out a couple of video reviews and boy thst camera us erratic, especially during combat! I'm 50:50 on this game whether to buy it :smile:

I was contemplating on buying this one thinking I don't have a FF game on either the ps4 or xb1 in my collection, then realised I've got X+X2 on the ps4! :laughing: guess I can pass on this one! :stuck_out_tongue:

Really couldn't get into this but I guess for the price it could be worth it to someone. Even if you get 5 hours of play out of it, that's a decent playtime to pound ratio
