Just to let you know its worth checking your IKEA Family Card at their Kiosk before you make any payment at their checkouts, Got 3 coupons worth £35 off today when I was buying a wardrobe.
It's free to print at their Kiosk. Could be for selected members but like I said it's worth checking before you make any payments and might save you few tenners.
Good luck.

I hate IKEA, I nipped in for some steak knives and had a 20 minute walk to get out!

These machines are situated after you have done your shoping so you should go in the exit first and check.

I hate it because if i nip in for one thing I come out with a trolley full of **** that I don't need and will never use.

That's the Ikea way. Sometimes you can short cut departments if you know your way round the store . But it's designed in a way to encourage you to browse and make impulse buys. Perhaps you should as a previous commentator suggests and start at the end.

99% off the time I get a hot dog or donut, but then a few weeks ago we got a six pack of wine glasses and a couple of weeks later got £20 off a £100 spend voucher

The card is free. Apply in store at a kiosk but it does take quite a while to arrive

i got £40 worth of free stuff a couple of weeks ago, and a free hotdog.
Always log in to the kiosk to get a temporary card... Where do the vouchers come up?

I literally had no idea this was a thing, I've just been slavishly using my ikea family card to get a quid off a specific cushion every 6 months or something. They have scanners?
Gah!

same thing in Birmingham. there are 2 right at the entrance (on the right hand side), couple more in the showroom upstairs- can't be missed as there right next to the restaurant, and finally there are two or three after the checkouts.

That's definitely not the case in my local branch. In Gateshead, the Ikea Family section ( where both the scanners and Ikea Family orientated products are) is pretty much in the middle of the store by the Restaurant and toilets, you have to walk past it to get to the upstairs marketplace section and the back to the checkouts. There are some additional scanning screens after the checkouts but these I think are more for when they have the receipt scanning competitions, but I assume that every store is laid out a little differently.

Went for a new mattress yesterday, no discounts on anything we wanted, but did manage to blag free delivery, as ALL of the mattress's we were interested were either out of stock, or "Delivery Only".
Ikea seems to be turning into "Amazon with a showroom".
I wish I could find the paperwork for the old mattress, as it popped its clogs about a year short of the 25 year guarantee.

Do you have to type in any details? I assume the kiosk is that touch screen thing round the cafe?
I've forgotten whatever details i used to get my card.
