tempted by For Honor, but heard that it includes a lot of micro transactions in game.

It does however you can just earn the steel. Great fun however lots of cheats have ruined the 4v4 match ups.

It takes waaaaaayy too long to earn all the in game items, I believe in terms of microtransactions, to unlock everything it costs 700 quid. And more than 1000 hours of gameplay if I recall correctly, no doubt it'll hinder how much you can get out of the game
