Yeah I meant if I kept the OneConnect on the back of the TV and plugged all my cables in - that would be the worst case scenario but 1.5m should be enough I think - will measure everything up tonight

you have to use the one connect no ports on TV apart from power, ethernet and one connect probably around 1.5-2 m max not sure till i get home

Turns out I have the same mount  For my current setup, I just velcro my cables together and have them go straight down the wall to the TV unit. Do you know the length of the One Connect cable?
Guess worst case would be to not take advantage of the One Connect and just keep all cables running to the TV

Any owners able to comment on the suitability of wall mounting this? I read somewhere that the cable on the one connect box is quite short
Hoping to pick one up for £800 if Argos accept my return for the Philips one

hi mine is mounted on a wall using this from amazon
Invision® Ultra Slim Tilt Swivel TV Wall Bracket Mount - For 24 - 55 Inch LED LCD Plasma & Curved Screens - Now Includes 1.8m HDMI Cable (HDTV-E)
it works fine i have the one connect through the chimney and out the side with about 30 inches of cable stuck out the side - the cable could be longer in truth, but it does the job
when looking at the tv from the front the connect cable is connect on the right hand side and my equipment and cable were on the left so just about reached - so bear that in mind if wall mounting - keep your equipment on the right or below tv and the cable length wont be an issue

only issue i have had with the tv is the palystation now service is very slow and laggy, and the just dance now app doesnt seem to work - i have the tv connected via ethernet and have a 100mb line, but other than that all is good you wont find a better tv for the money - also as someone has already said look at the grand tour namibia special its awesome on the tv - colours of the cars and the detail will blow you away

My GT50 Plasma started to be an issue, bought in 2014 From JL, I needed the assistance of The CAB and got to the point of having action over their stance regarding the repair of the TV before a reasonable solution was offered.

Sadly the code no longer works for £50 but Take30 does
What are Huges like for their customer service and extended warranty.?
I've had one from September and while the picture is top notch, despite the limited viewing angles, the software is quite janky. I've had multiple issues with TV stations dissappearing, hdmi devices no longer recognised and apps disappearing. Samsung customer service are utterly useless if you do have an issue. Best to go on avforums as people there know the telly better than the company that made it! That being said, no regrets and hopefully a firmware update will fix the software issues.

It's not just their price matching. They do not honour their prices, if the they are offering something at a good price (better than elsewhere). Don't be surprised if they cancel your order with no justification. Happened to me and seems pretty common from reviews. A good dealer would not do this. Personally would sooner purchase from Hughes, if Quidco tracks, then its £20 cheaper also, pretty certain you would get just as good, if not better CS from Hughes as well.

For the money you will struggle to get a better TV, really happy with mine.

I would have to agree about 2 things
1 - The deal is hot - i paid 849 from JL at xmas time this is the lowest ive seen this tv since then
2 - JL customer service is very good - I had a problem with the tv when i got it (online delivery) i went into store to fault find the problem - it was the connect one cable, they spent 20 mins checking with me ont he main floor taking cable from stands and worked out that the cable was faulty and just swapped it straight away - no checking of when i ordered or anything i call that good CS.

Are you happy with the TV? Any comments, things to be aware of? I've ordered one from JL and it's being delivered next week.

You're probably right. I've seen people whinge and moan before about price matching when often it's because of the terms and conditions which people haven't read. I've had stuff accepted and rejected by JL on the price match side of things. All the things which were rejected were correct.

like I said why JL? I asked them to price match over Xmas refused basically couldn't be arsed and didn't want to match a legitimately good deal. customer service isn't that wonderful from experience as they did handle the price match pretty poor.

Seems you're smarting over one specific issue? They have always seemed very good in the past, and their CS seems excellent, perhaps your price match didn't comply with their t&c?

Pretty bad if you buy online (check the reviews).

I price matched in Jan against Hughes with discount code for 55ks8000 and JL came back very quickly agreeing to it

Generally accepted that they have very good customer service. Of course there'll be some bad stories but overall it's top notch.
