Rubbish tv mines just blown after 6 hours use just went then kept turning itself on and off continually with the Samsung logo flashing!! The only way it would turn off is by unplugging. It was great until that happened although I like Samsung I don't think there TVs are any good. This is the second one I've had and maybe the last !

I just got John Lewis to price match PRC Direct at £839.

DC Digital have it for £799 or £720 if you pay with bank transfer but read the website first. They are not brand new but graded A- comes with a 5 year warranty but doesn't cover lines/patches or dead pixels. I was too hasty in ordering without reading but luckily didn't make the transfer

Having the GT50 is part of the problem. Each time that I have looked into buying another TV I have been disappointed somewhat when I get to see them in action and not just in their over saturated demo mode. Compared to my 2012 Plasma it is more incrementally different rather than leaps and bounds.
Also I must be the only person who would miss the active 3D on my GT50. When watching an animated movie in 3D it does come into its own.

The Panasonic GT50 was another tv that was on my wish list a few years back, very nice tv

I'm also thinking the same about the price dropping which may be another reason I'm holding out until the last minute but I think you can do a retrospective price match with John Lewis for a certain amount of time after purchasing if it does drop. My mind is made up already, my 6 year old Sony Bravia will be put in the bedroom & this will be the new toy

I think that i have read too much about too many TV's, but it might be in this thread where someone expressed disappointment about the black levels seeming to be grey compared, to their old Plasma.
As the 2017 models are now starting to appear on the market I'm just hesitant a little at how they could affect the 2016 model prices and also that our venerable but still good GT50 might do more than hold its own.

Still this is a lot of TV for the money.

I am after the 65" of this model......but at £1495 is still too expensive for me!! Maybe another model with same performance like Hisense 65M7000 will do???? Any suggestions.

Motion blur? Retention? Do you have an OLED? I do and don't have either of them.. in fact fast moving stuff like sports look great on it. What set did you see with these things?

Just out of interest has your Samsung TV suffered with apps that hang or won't load at all after an update has been released? I was told that Panasonic, Sony and LG go to the providers of iPlayers and get them to program an app spwcifically for their TV, which minimises compatibility issues. Whereas Samsung just get an "off the shelf" iPlayer and have to debug new updates months after a new update is released. Anyone know a bit more on this please let me know.

Paid £920 for mine about 3 months ago and it remains awesome. No brainer for the spec. The 20 m/s input lag time for gaming with or without HDR is especially pleasing. 10 bit panel & 1000 nits of peak brightness for HDR. Easy & fast interface too for smart apps.

The built in speakers are better quality and the edge of the TV looks better on the higher models

We have been laughing about this for a few days I wondered if anyone would post it.

The DX750 is a nice TV, but it's only an 8 bit panel. It also struggles with HDR due to only being able to hit a peak of 500-nit and input lag is poor for gamers. It does have 3D though and SD content looks very good.

Bought this tv on the weekend and can say it's amazing for both tv and gaming. RS now have the 49" in this model for 799£ might buy this too for the other room :smirk:

£999 is pushing past reality I'm afraid - however
LG 55EF950V - these can be had for around £1249

But really, if you are considering OLED, I would advise you not to go to an earlier model than the current one, and the cheapest current one is the b6. The others had some issues being new technology which were all resolved in the main on the b6, and - HDR, I don't know if it's important to you but I will assume you're after something really good if you're after an OLED. Models older than the b6 have a somewhat sketchy implementation of HDR, they also WILL NOT be getting an update for broadcast HDR from SKY and BBC, called Hybrid Log Gamma, HLG for short, the b6 has full implementation of HDR and has been confirmed by lg at ces that it will get the HLG update when needed, so it's really in the sweet spot now for the standards for current 4k standards, FINALLY!!
If you really want an OLED, and your budget is £1k, my best advice is to just wait, or if you can, buy a cheaper TV and use that while you wait for the prices to come down on the b6. It does look like though the prices may not come down to it's best low of £1500 before shops stop stocking it, as they are coming to the end of their manufacture, as the b7 is about to launch. I.E - shops will run out of stock before the price drops, so your only option would be a refub at a later date, personally I wouldn't touch a refurb in the case of a TV, they are usually returns for some issues. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Trust me, you don't love OLED more than I do, I've been waiting 2 years for the technology and standards to level out on 4k (it's an absolute disgrace what has gone on this generation, really really outrageous cynical attempt to get people to buy more AV gear year on year - i'll give you all a break down if you ask - now they are talking about HDMI 2.1, con artists the lot of them)

Anyway - Brightness isn't a problem on OLED, it just isn't. Just because this TV is brighter, doesn't mean it's better or the OLED isn't bright, just go look at one in a shop. OLED is the future, QLED is very very promising (this years QLEDs from Samsung arn't actually really QLEDs, they'll be out next year) but for sub £900 this TV is going to give you a great picture lets be honest. OLED is better but it's twice the price, I have the means to get one and I think £2k is too much for any TV. Manufactures really need to just on with FALD sets (Full Local Array Dimming - helps with blacks) and stop selling these edge lit jobbies.

Image retention has been blown out of proportion frankly, due to the fact plasmas were susceptible to this (even then they had to be abused) Image retention on very few OLEDs is COMPLETELY different, and even you are very unlucky for it to happen to you, it can be resolved pretty quickly. Also, you get 5-6year warranties on OLED sets, why is it a concern? I've not seen much with regards to motion issues - so I'll bow to your knowledge on that, but motion on LCDs in the main isn't particularly great, the response times on OLEDs (not to be confused with LAG) are much quicker, surprised motion is an issue TBH.

All that said If I was in need of a new TV now and was being sensible, I'd seriously consider this set. Hot.

if your TV cabinet isn't wide enough just buy a pedestal stand, you can get good ones for less than £40 on amazon
it might make the TV look better too, plus you can adjust the height of the TV :smiley:

Really stuck between the ks7000 and the ks8000

The wide stand footprint on the KS7000 was a big issue for me, so it was a choice of buying the KS8000 or buying an expensive new cabinet / centre pedestal stand. In addition, the free UHD Blu-ray player meant that the additional cost at the time was minimal.
Based on performance you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two, apart from the extra speakers (much better sound - best I've heard on a flat screen) and the build quality. Don't be alarmed, but the back of the KS7000 is held together with double sided tape. Not an issue if wall mounting, but some owners have reported the back separating when getting warm.

I am ready to buy a new 65" 4k HDR TV but I don't know wich one!! Is anybody reccomending one that is pleased with!! My budget is top £1100. Ciao

Not completely sure what you mean by this but the actual TV is only 123cm wide. If your unit is 120cm you won't have any problems with the feet fitting on.

Emailed them this morning asking about a price match (even though Its usually 7 days) and I got a reply within an hour refunding the £100 price drop.

I wasn't disbelieving you,but we have two boxes one upstairs and one downstairs and I'm not techy but I think only the box upstairs records and OH plays the PS4 etc downstairs.

i was using a HUMAX HDR box, when it woke up to record a program the TV would switch to the HDMI that the HUMAX was using, the same will happen to anything else that powers on by itself

Awesome TV. got mine for £920 (or so after CB - PAID) in November and it is cracking.

PS4 Pro + this TV is awesome. Well worth this price.

If there is still stock in the supply chain come May/June when big companies purge the old elctronics, you may well find some better offers, but that's a risk you could take on missing out and being left with inferior TV's or the top end when the new ranges launch.

EDIT: Don't ignore the comments about the feet, you DO need a pretty sizeable TV stand if you aren't planning to wall mount.

For the price and spec, this is currently the best TV you can buy. But it's not without its quirks and faults.......like every other 2016 TV produced, including OLED - don't believe all the hype, unless you have money to burn.
The KS7000 suffers with the micro-stutter issue (partly resolved by turning off all motion handling settings) and the Samsung's do have lots of quality control issues with the panels. BUT if you get a good one......it's superb.
Personally I own the KS8000, as I got a good pre-xmas deal with the free UHD spinner and films. Sound, build, response time and the stand footprint are all better on the KS8000, but for the cost......the KS7000 is a great deal.
Do take note of the wide feet on the KS7000 though, as you might need to buy a pedestal stand if not wall mounting.

The reason this became popular (me including) was the fact that as of last year and price point the only tv that would hit 1000nits. If you take that away it's like the rest of the edge light bunch better in some aspects worse in others. People feel it's future proofing but it isn't. HDR is changing so fast and questions of software updates are already abounding. IMHO, If you need a new tv like me forget all the tech hype and go into a good shop - RS,JL, Curry's whatever, with material you normally watch now on a memory stick, and make your own choice.

Pfft a big price difference that is. Could get a pretty decent surround sound set up for the £500 difference.

You're looking in the wrong place for a definitive answer. Varying opinions based on arguments about brightness, viewing angles etc. I'm not even sure why you would attempt to view your 55inch TV from any other angle other than directly in front.

Based on pricepoint and based on the features THIS TV provides you with, there is great value for money. People always talk about what other TVs offer 'OLED' blah blah blah but fact of the matter is, you're looking at the KS7000 and if your budget is sub £900 then you will be hard pushed to get something with more bang for your buck. I'm not saying you can't, but it's a challenge. Every single TV will have some form of minor viewing problem like the aforementioned that users have stated above.

The TV is great though, I highly recommend it. In it's own right, it's brilliant value.

​had it running through an older Samsung 3d TV I've got earlier to see the difference in the iptv. the motion blur and judder was still there but allot better than the KS7000. not sure if it's because the other Sammy I have was only 40 inch and the KS7000 is 55 so I'd notice it more. it was far from perfect aswel on the 40 inch so I'm guessing the main reason was the stream. I can tell you I've had 0 issues with any motion handling with SD and HD via satellite box. also great picture on the PS pro. I've tried watching the grand tour through Amazon prime. I noticed he TV suffered badly from the soap opera effect I here ppl talking about. was different from what I've been experiencing with iptv. not sure if it was a problem with grand tour itself. I need to test more content to investigate further on that front.

Most TV's have features to prevent image retention regardless of the screen type.

OLED display is also managed to prevent it happening, its near impossible to get screen burn on the current line of LG TV's, even if you disable all the protection features, such as pixel shift...the OLED light will actively dim itself when no motion is detected.

As i said, you can get burn in on any screen type, OLED does not suffer from burn in any more than any other screen type, so this point is moot
OLED does suffer from screen burn more than some other technologies.
In fact screen burn is specifically excluded from the warranty of OLED, that is in the manual, and the LG website goes to great lenghts explaining built in technology to reduce image retention.

Have you tried running your IPTV through an external source (Android box/Enigma box/Kodi etc)?
Only asking as i'm so tempted to order this tv but would also be using IPTV and don't want to run into these problems.

Your logic is somewhat flawed though because price dropping to the level of LCD requires some form of competition, and the only company able to manufacture OLED screens large enough and cheaply enough are LG

Sony and Panasonic will be using LG screens in their upcoming OLED lines, so i don't see this price drop you're waiting for anytime soon. LG set and control the prices.

I am not justifying my purchase at all, just correcting those who are posting on here without a clue what they're talking about! - This includes you, go read the avforums entire thread regarding motion judder, one was fixed in an update almost a year ago now, and the other is normal telecine judder more apparent on an OLED since it has a faster pixel reponse than LCD. So LCD would blur the image, and OLED you get a slight judder, These are source issues and not faults with the TV.

Personally, i couldn't give a monkeys what TV you purchase, but will correct you if you post nonsense

​iptv isn't running through a hdmi lead. it's channels I have built into the app you can download off Samsung app store called smart iptv

The B6 has a different chipset to the others (C6,E6 and G6) these have slightly faster input lag for gaming as well as 3D

I think motion blur is down to the individual, some are more sensitive or aware of it than others, if you're looking for it like i was then you'll never stop seeing it

for example, you have a PS4 and a SKY HD box plugged into the TV, if the SKY HD box powers on to record a TV program, the TV will change the channel for you and there's nothing you can do about it, there's no off option, samsung say it's a feature that can't be turned off

With update, all LG OLED's now have same picture quality only difference between models is 3D or built in sound bar etc

B6 is the cheap one, the one you want is the mid range c6 (I'm hoping for sub £1800 over summer). If 3d was launched on that instead of mediocre 1080p sets it would have taken off. Shame 3d killed off, it's spectacular on the high end oled sets.

I can only go on what is out there at the moment, just Youtube the B6 (probably the cheapest panel) and see the issue it currently suffers from. Thankfully, my phone screen is fine, but there are others with burn in with OLED's, you only need to google to find them (you however are already aware of this).

I'm pleased you are enjoying your panel, but I would rather keep that extra money in pocket and let people like you subsidize the tech, so people like me can pick up a superior panel in 5 years time for a fraction of the cost, that is the price you pay as an early adopter.

For future reference, you convey the positives of OLED terribly. There are people of all sorts of professions who view this website, you portray someone who seems to either just want justify their purchase, or over defensive of the tech, rather than a passionate endorser.

Edit: I don't own the TV yet, but fully aware of the motion blur / judder problem - it has been widely reported you just need to adjust the auto motion option to fix this, always try this before sending the TV back.

my KS7000 has been fine running from a satellite box. in HD and SD. I now have an iptv server running through it and the 720 and 1080 streams have horrendous motion blur and stutter. my satellite box doesn't do it. could it be just down to the streams or the TV itself? also I bought the TV in December when the 899 deal was last on. I'm seriously considering getting rid if I cab if these motion problems are down to the TV. what are my rights within the first years warranty? is it possible to get my money back or just replacements under the warranty?

I just checked the viewing angle. It looks like the colour drops off in the final 30 degrees. So you get 120 is good and 30 either side less so. A total non issue for myself, YMMV.

My Samsung has developed about 5 lines hence was looking at a new tv and was considering this.

I have no backlight bleed or motion issues. I mainly use pspro and xbox one, and watch mkvs via the built in plex app. Sometimes watch an HD broadcast. I'm actually amazed the tv can reproduce bright white logos on pure black without blooming or banding. My room is bright I guess, although I do dim the lights sometimes. And I do have subtle bias lighting. I've had no regrets since buying. My only issues are my 4od app disappeared and the silly google ad in my apps panel I can't get rid of. And yes the remote will slide off the table if you put it down slightly over the edge, but the remote itself works well with all devices, I dumped the harmony in favour of it.

Some advice - try to avoid if you are not sitting directly opposite the screen. The viewing angle on the TV is poor meaning you lose colour saturation and can see light bleed. It's great if your sofa bang opposite and providing the TV has been configured properly (check out AV forums guides) it's a nice picture.

The new oled sets can now do 1000 nits (and greater), last advantage of the lcd sets is gone.

I have the 49" and 65" ks9000, both are a huge improvement on the 2014 range I had previously. Very, very good - at least to my eyes. Did look at OLED but the lack of brightness put me off for HDR

I'm playing in 1080p and a standard PS4, still find myself stopping and going into photo mode.. the graphics are unreal.

Damn bought this last week for more. Ah well you have to jump in at some point. Watching Motd now, no evidence of any judder or blurring. This has replaced my hitachi plasma that was dying. Would love an oled but kerching....

I wouldn't go to much by a tech reviews as this is just ones persons view - whether they're given a better review set to test or not I don't know, but I tend to look at user reviews rating now as this gives real world situation. For example, the backs coming off, this won't happen immediately - so guess what no mention in tech reviews, but look at the threads that someone posted above in AVforums for the 7000 you'll see it coming up time and again as does micro stutter awful back light bleed ...... I took a memory stick into Curry's last week with 720p stuff on it and compared the 7000, Sony 8599 and the LG B6 Oled as I use and will do for some time yet NowTV. The 7000 was awful at upscalling 720p compared to the other two. The only problem I know I won't like about the Sony will be light bleed when viewing at home, that's why I'm holding out for Oled.

Lot of harping on about the LG B6 on this thread. Its double the price of this set.

Even the 58" Panny DX902b is £300 cheaper than the 55" LG B6 at £1699 and if anyone comes out with the nonsense that its a lesser TV because its LED vs OLED then they need a right good slap. It may be older tech but its still a damn fine TV for the money.

Damn, only 2 weeks after buying a Hisense 55m7000 for £100 less. I was waiting on this to drop but it wasn't looking likely.

Anybody read the reviews of this TV on the John Lewis site? There's a number of complaints all stating the same problem with stuttering during motion. This does however conflict with the review on hdtvtest.co.uk

There's a snobbery surrounding oled, which is ashame. Right now it's really expensive and hard to attain for many. I'm very fortunate to be able to afford it. I think this is going to change over the next year or two, oled is going to become the standard, at least that's my hope. You see, it's just incredible, and so much better than LCD. Remember plasma, well I still think that plasma TVs produced far better pictures that LCD, but they were unreliable, easily suffer screen burn and they died out. Oled is like plasma on steroids, and we all deserve to view film and TV on an oled. I think oled is so much better I would not get this deal unless I had no choice, such as the current TV packed in. Wait, hang in there and get a TV that will make your jaw drop. Prices will come down!

You make a good point, firstly someone compared this TV to OLED with relation to peak brightness, this was the reason for my comments, they spiralled when more guff was posted about OLED. Never intended for the conversation to continue this long, but the more information people have the better, manufacturers can and do mislead people!

Saying all that, i do wonder why people purchase a new TV primarily for the supposedly superior 4K image over their current HD, but then cheap out on the panel, rendering the upgrade near pointless..

it's a bit like replacing your 358 Ferrari for a replica Enzo costing more money..... ok it looks the part, but it ain't an Enzo, you may as well have stuck with what you had.

That's just my opinion, and no reflection on this particular 'deal' itself, i would imagine if this is the TV you want, although its been cheaper in the past, it's going to save you some money!

Also, if you really wanted, you can find a used OLED panel for this kind of money from people upgrading .on avforums

Plenty of OLED talk in this thread.....Wondering if any of your can point me to a 55", 4K OLED for around £899? Would love to buy one, as OLED is a lovely tech.

Last time I looked at OLED, the OLED55B6V which is a 55", 4K display was around double the price of this set and not much being cheaper.

If there are cheaper sets with a spec similar, could someone point them out? If not, all this OLED talk little more than "Something that costs twice the price is better"....yeahhhh, that's a given.

Yeah. it was probably an even more inferior panel than this one, and i was educating people who thought buying any old cheap rubbish 4k TV was better than the HD set they already had, most of them (like yourself) tragically mistaken and aren't aware they're wasting their money on junk.

Bang on? i only mentioned it in relation to brightness, and in fact I didn't bring up OLED, a ridiculous comparison was made, so I put it right. And will continue to do so when i see rubbish posted.


Less clutter but there are better standalone Kodi devices, most can be attached directly to the back of the TV to avoid any extra clutter.

I guess it depends what sort of content you are streaming via Kodi, but the nVidia shield paired with a decent TV (smart or non smart - the shield does what most smart tv's can do but better) is the ideal combination imo, but then it isn;t necessarily the cheapest option.

Samsung are really over priced, for what they are.

Had the KS7000 input lag (with PS4 Pro) is amazing at the time but found out it is with out HDR enabled! and the motion on the panel looks like a 50HZ Native panel but the motion rubbish. It was stuttering and blurring and adjustment sliders either over compensated to much or not enough when you to have to readjust it constantly! (Depending on source) also the bloody panel came loose due the heat so enjoy the cheap plastic.

Switched to the 55XD8599 couldn't be happier Triluminos (i.e. more advanced quantum dot) and the motion handling is ideal for what I use it for the android software does have a learning curve but when you understand it works better than the Tizen software plus Chromecast (Googlecast what ever the difference is!) works really well. Input lag is not as fast but with HDR enabled at all times much more ideal.

Mainly for Kodi and Chromecast. If they are both built into the Sony AndroidTV then there is less clutter than buying separates.

Even cheaper on a few other sites (but probably less safe than JL)

Went into Curry's the other day and the assistant actually showed me the back coming off of a 8500, I've noticed the back in another store coming away from a 7000. The QC is appalling on these models have a look on the AV forums user thread. I don't know why all the hype on this tv, in store compared to the LG B6 oled it looks totally washed out- and they actually use good old fashioned screws to keep the back on! Just hope the LG B6 will drop in price again. Even the Sony 8599 looked better than the 7000 to me especially if you're still viewing standard def freeview.

I have a curved tv and agree, just a gimmick nothing more! I have the js8500 55inch and at an angle and where my light is situated the light goes right across the screen!

Good image but:
1. Keeps losing wireless connection so have to keep soft resetting it or playing with DNS settings to get up iplayer or even worse still if you connect to a NAS it drops connection after 30 minutes. Common problem with no fix for the NAS issue if you Google it
2. Hardly any HD content

imo the 7000s stand looks cheaper and it needs a wide TV cabinet to stand on :stuck_out_tongue:

Bright rooms hides the light bleed . Watching the Tv in a dark room and you no doubt see light bleed .
This is why a lot of people instal bias lighting as it hides the issue a bit ,
You are correct that it is a very bright TV though .

Viewing angles try watching from the side . Colours etc washed out and also other light issues become apparent . Also I found the picture stutters /Huddersfield somewhat on the Samsung
. I know this happens on most new TVs these days but the Samsung was too much for me.

Just my experience with the Tv , but as you mentioned oled and I gladly returned my Samsung and upgraded to an lg oled . Can't compare the 2 TVs as the oled is on a differing league ,but then it is a lot more cash to spend

Because it hides the awful light bleed on a lot of these sets . Switch the lights off and you will see .
As for viewing angles they are awful but I've come from plasma .

the model numbers are different in this video but
8000 has a better stand and looks better than the 7000 plus it's supposed to have a slightly faster chipset so it can handle motion slightly better
9000 looks the same as the 8000 but is curved and has a better backlight

Quantum Dot is just samsungs version of Sonys Triluminos, it's basicaly just a layer that's added to the LCD that improves colour

i bought a UE55KS8000 and i sent it back, motion blur being the main issue

just a warning: samsungs latest TVs automatically switch to the last powered HDMI so make sure you're using a av receiver or something similar if you're using something that powers on by itself like a tv recorder box
i contacted samsung and asked for help but they said that it's a feature of the TV and cannot be turned off :confused:

Such a good tv (this model). Now has the Now TV update. It already has Amazon Video, Netflix, Google Videos, You Tube and more.

I've read a lot of bad things about Samsung TV recently. They seem to be very unreliable. I've been a Samsung smart TV user since 2010. Last year a had two break on me within a week. One TV was only a few days old. So I switched to Panasonic. I've read a lot of reviews on Amazon and the John Lewis site and many many people are complaining about poor quality builds and unreliable TV etc. Apparently Samsung have starting using cheaper parts in the mid range high end televisions.

Samsung are unreliable imo, especially their TVs where you get screen failiure due to the tab bonding coming loose from thermal heat up, resulting in horizontal lines or a dark shadow on on one side of the screen. This has happened on two samsungs I have owned and so I now dont but them anymore, and feel I aught to warn people of this common fault.

OLED image retention? motion blur?

First off, any screen can get image retention (even CRT), image retention is no more of an issue on an OLED than it is on an LCD.

and motion blur.... where do i start here! - since we're talking about just screen technology only, and not particular TV's. LCD blurs more than OLED with motion, since OLED has a faster pixel response. It's why with LCD you get shimmering on fast moving sequences.

all in all, sounds like you're a bit confused

Oh and Quantum Dot, QLED is just buzz words, it's still LCD

As for phones, most of the top end smartphones use OLED, it's not like you need to go out of your way to get OLED screens!

Hot from me, Quantum Dot seems the best atm for picture quality if you plan to use it for gaming.

This is misleading on the OLED front. I'm not too familiar with the techie side of TVs in terms of brightness but I know this. When I decided to buy a new TV there was only one option. OLED. It's expensive yes, but I've not seen a picture quality like it. It's phenomenal. I've brightness set to 55 in a fully lit room. If you want your TV to give you sun burn, perhaps OLED isn't for you.

The European KS7000 is 100% a 10 bit, HDR panel, 1000 nit panel.

I think a lot of the confusion comes from the U.S. KS7000 model which isn't 10 bit.

There to get the equivalent model, you have to buy ou have to get the KS8000.

As you have mentioned it, whilst the peak brightness is higher on these LCD's erm.... sorry i mean LED, erm i mean LED backlit LCD... erm i mean EDGE lit LED LCD

The brightness range is more or less the same if not higher on the OLED, since although it won't reach the peak brightness of an LCD it goes a lot deeper into the black range

Peak brightness is a non selling point, (someone tell samsung) in fact i have to turn down the brightness on my OLED, its eye piercing otherwise. (if i wanted a burnt retina, i would stare at the sun thanks)

What's more important is the number of dimming zones, OLED has hundreds, and this tv has hardly any at all - and it shows

And a bright room affecting the image is mostly down to the reflective coating on the screen above anything else.

Anyway, had this TV once upon a time, and sent it back. wasn't happy with it, It is not at all comparable to an OLED, so not point mentioning them really

A brighter room would make the picture darker. Unless the TV is set to adjust brightness automatically to suit the room and dims with light off. Sounds like a user error.

Probably referring to the viewing angles. If the screen is shiny as well wouldn't help.

Does anyone know if the 2017 range of Samsung TVs will have a model that replaces this? I know there is the QLED TVs, but they seem to be going up against the OLED TVs from the competition, and so the price is considerably more. What I'm basically asking is, should I just buy this, or wait a few months. I don't really want to spend over £1500.

Go to recent reviews on website. A good few 1 star for blurring in 4K/1080i. Far outweighed with good reviews but still puts a doubt in your head.

I have the 60" and i rang Samsung about the back panel and a repair came out and just replaced the little bit of tape that was on the back with a new stronger tape that goes all the way round. Make sure you turn off auto motion to get best judder free results.
