What is it with the Xbox price drops? Now the 1TB's are falling? Are we being offered deals or are stocks being discounted to get rid of them in the run up to E3 which is just 12 weeks away? - 13th June!

whilst there are many deals on they are all just not tempting enough at the moment... maybe just before or when Scorpio arrives then they will drop further

Agreed. Retailers know what is coming and they need to sell as much stock as possible, bundling in games which in Game's examples would not now sell well otherwise. Microsoft are to blame for releasing an interim console which in a year of its life will be superseded or to be more specific blown out of the water.
