Was that before or after all your data was sold to an Indian Scam Centre?
it has more data, more texts less monthly line rental and monthly contract
but guess it depends on whats best reception where you are

Thanks, got this for my new aupair starting next week.
Had ID Mobile for the previous au pair. I really like the price cap as every single month she would use up her entire data allowance half way through the month.
I like that PlusNet sends a warning text when you've used 80% of your allowance which ID Mobile did not.

Great deal which I very nearly switched to. Thankfully a call to EE quoting this offer got me 1GB Data, 1000mins and unlimited texts for £4.99. 12 month contract but has saved me the faff of moving my number about.

Been using my new sim for a few days now, impressed with the 4g coverage and speed,
Even basic voice has been fine even in what was shown as marginal areas on the map,
So far so good
I was with Life Mobile (which Plusnet bought) for a long time, no issues. My mom & sister have been with iD Mobile for a long time, no issues. Most reviewers post negatives; I've never reviewed any of my phone/broadband providers.
At least in the West Midlands both options are fine...just steer clear of TalkMobile! I went Plusnet -> TalkMobile -> iD Mobile within like 2 weeks (cancelled my TalkMobile 12 month contract in 14 day period as the signal was so bad)

They do e.g. my sister has a deal for £9.50/month in my name & I've set it to not go over that by more than £5

My mom & sister had this issue also. All 3 of us are now using iD Mobile (I was the most recent one), all in my name

I was with Plusnet. Honestly please don't fall for cheap sim deal with them. Not worth your time. Services and customer service is rubbish. I was told that they don't guarantee signal inside home..

I guess I did, I would've thought an order would be taken and dispatched same day. I've ordered from Giff Gaff before for example, and that was super quick.

Beware of PlusNet - riddled with back-office issues and they have zero customer support ability if something goes wrong. My phone port process took 7 weeks - during that whole time I did not have access to my phone number, and they had ZERO idea on how to fix it and when it would be rectified. Only got attention after repeatedly emailing the CEO who managed to get somebody to try help (and even that took 4 weeks to sort out).

+1 I was an existing customer and I decided to stick with them when moving house for simplicity. Took them 6 weeks to turn on a phone line that had no technical errors. It was just their internal systems that were shocking. Also first call on the new number was from an accident claims company so I think they were keener to sell on my number than to make it work.

I'd stay away from Plusnet, I placed an oder on Wednesday only just had the order confirmation through. I needed the SIM quickly, so figured i'd cancel it. Rang them, can't cancel an order. LOL.
Avoid.

Wow you have some high expectations, you need to allow longer than that
I had an order email the same day, then confirmation the day after, 2 days later sim arrived, activated following day

yes not everyone is going to have a bad experience, but those that do and the comments they are making made me think twice, but as with everything do your own research then decide

Just joined plusnet so took out the £7.50 for 2GB a month, but when i looked at the [email protected] there was an offer via USwitch using Plusnet for 3GB a month for £8.50 rolling contract, handy for some, great coverage on EE with 3GB under a tenner, showing as £8 TCashback too

Can this be capped for kids like tesco and three?

16 Mar 17#20
Yes, but the lowest capping limit is £2, so this means that you won't go over by any more than £2 over the £5 monthly charge. So your bills will not be more than £7.

Are Plusnet generally slow to on board new customers? Put an order in yesterday and heard nothing since, bar an email saying 'we're processing your order ring us in a few days if you hear nothing' - no order number or anything.
Loathed to ring them if their answering times are anything like their broadband team.

Little or no 4G coverage in my area with either PlusNet *or* IDMobile. I need a deal that uses the Vodafone network - any suggestions?

just set the smart cap (over allowance spending limit) to £2, so the most you would get billed
is £7 if you have ignored the near limit warnings and also not monitored your account online
