NOTE: TO BUY FROM AMAZON FOR THE PRICE OF $25.49 LOOK AT OTHER SELLERS ON RIGHT HAND SIDE OF PAGE...AMAZON IS AT THE TOP with a dispatch estimate of between 1 and 3 weeks
I know that to some this is a bit of an "acquired" taste with a bit of a "cult" following but for those that do enjoy (secretly or otherwise!!!) I thought it was a really good price as the cheapest I can find it in the UK at the moment is £71.99 although you also need to be aware it is a Region 1 DVD Boxset.
I've just ordered it and price was worked out as follows although please be aware there could be slight fluctuations due to exchange rates or whether you have a fee free card (which I don't so it should be slightly cheaper if you do  ):
From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels (NBC's "The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur (NBC's "The Office," "Saturday Night Live"), "Parks and Recreation" is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Amy Poehler, NBC's "Saturday Night Live," "Baby Mama"), a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, and her tireless efforts to make her quintessentially American town just a little bit more fun.

One of the best and funniest shows on tv. The first season is notably inferior to the others, in part because it never feels at home with the uncomfortable Office-style approach, and some reviewers suggest jumping straight to season 2. I know people who have been put off by the first few episodes, but they really don't reflect seasons 2-6 (7 is slightly different again). It's a pity the DVD is not more accessible in the UK, but you can stream all the seasons on Amazon Prime.

Plus a handling fee of at least £8 (Royal Mail) if it does get checked by customs.

Don't think so as you've already paid the import fees including customs clearance directly to Amazon who then pay the relevant authorities on your behalf...nothing else to pay and you don't have to pay the Royal Mail anything extra as everything is paid up front to Amazon...know this from past experience as prior to the option appearing on Amazon I got stung many times with the Royal Mail and their very cheeky surcharges on top of the import bill but have never experienced this since Amazon started taking the Import fees off you during checkout.
However just to clarify the info from Amazon is as follows:
About Import Fees Deposit
AmazonGlobal offers customers customs duties, taxes and fees ("Import Fees") estimation during checkout and customs clearance on your behalf for certain eligible countries.
Calculating Fees
When AmazonGlobal products are shipped to eligible countries, an estimate of the Import Fees will be levied on the items in your order for shipment to countries outside of the U.S. With your authorization, these funds are used by the carrier or another agent to pay the Import Fees on your behalf (or the recipient's behalf) to the appropriate authorities of the destination country ("Import Fees Deposit"). The payment of import fees is the responsibility of the importer and is levied based on the laws of the country into which the products are being shipped.
Import Fees Deposits will vary depending on the selected shipping method. The Import Fees Deposit is an estimation of the taxes and duties that may apply and isn't an actual calculation. Customs regulations and tax rates applicable to certain goods may change between the date the taxes and duties were estimated and the applicable taxes and duties on the date of import into the destination country. The duty or tax rate is often determined by the classification of a good, which varies by country and region.
Duties and taxes are calculated based on the market value (actual price before any promotions) of the product and not the price after Amazon promotions. This allows destination country customs authorities to obtain the accurate import duties and taxes owed to them based on the actual value of the goods.
For AmazonGlobal items, you won't be charged additional fees if the actual Import Fees exceed the Import Fees Deposit we estimated. For items sold by Amazon Marketplace sellers, please check the seller's policies.
If the actual Import Fees are less than the Import Fees Deposit collected by us on your behalf, you'll automatically be refunded the difference to the payment method you used for the order. You'll receive a notification e-mail confirming the amount of the refund. The process takes 60 days from the shipment date.
Note:
The cost to ship items from each product category to international destinations varies by item, shipment, and shipping option. Your order may qualify for FREE AmazonGlobal Shipping. For more information on this, go to About FREE AmazonGlobal Shipping. If your order doesn't qualify for FREE AmazonGlobal Shipping, go to Global Shipping Rates.
The above terms also apply to the shipment of any replacement product that might be shipped if there's a problem with the original shipment. If you return a product to us, you'll be the exporter from the original shipping destination and will be responsible for compliance with all export laws of that country.

Yes, it's another little gem (along with Suits) that's hidden away on Dave...think that's possibly part of the reason that quite a lot of people have never heard of it.

Apologies, I recently got stung with a charge and thought it had been an order from Amazon.com but it was actually from Amazon.ca.

Absolutely no need to apologise as know from my own experience how galling it is to suddenly have to pay the Royal Mail an exhorbitant amount of money disguised as a "handling fee" on top of the import and vat...stopped ordering from the US for quite some time as the extra fees charged by the Royal Mail hardly made it worthwhile and even if it was still worthwhile it just annoyed the hell out of me having to pay it...didn't mind paying the import and vat as that's the law but the handling fee was just pulling the proverbial
As I said though I've not been charged anything extra on my orders since Amazon started charging the Import fees up front so am pretty sure they sort everything out for you...unless someone knows otherwise ..even better have even received refunds when Amazon haven't had to pay the total amount that they'd estimated.

Agree on season 1. Sets some scene but some characters are so different after season 1 (notably Andy) that it doesn't add too much. I also recall the first couple of seasons oddly being on BBC 4 before moving to dave
