Brilliant little camera. We hardly use our DSLRs since we got one of these - the zoom is superb for the size and the quality of images is remarkable. With the price having dropped since it was launched it now seems ridiculously cheap for the performance.

5 year warranty also through John Lewis and you can buy a 2 year accidental damage cover for £15. You have to buy by 3 April to claim the Panasonic 5 year deal.

Thanks for posting. I'm looking for a travel camera and can't bring myself to haul around an SLR. Can any of you camera gurus out there advise on whether a camera like this takes better photos than a iPhone 7?

In a word - yes, yes, yes (OK, that's 3 words). iPhone not bad for a phone cam (and so it should be at Apple prices!) but this will take excellent pictures on automatic and if you want to learn how to use the manual settings, etc. you can get almost DSLR shots.

This camera will be better - particularly when zooming in.

I love my Panasonic Lumix LX100 - bigger than a compact but smaller than a bridge/micro four thirds (but with four thirds sensor), Leica f1.7 lens so great for bokeh and low light, and most of the controls are like old fashioned manual controls... or press the iA (intelligent auto) if you just want to snap. Sturdy and perfect for travel.
The LX100 is almost exactly the same camera as the Leica D-LUX (Typ 109) only a lot cheaper. Check out the reviews
Hi all, I'm looking for a digital camera and this looks to fit my budget and needs but I've come across the Sony HX60 for £180. Just wondering which would be the best one out of the two?
Opening post
Cheapest on the market with 2 year guarantee.
