Does your budget stretch to using Google?

It will be worse than a simple shower mixer because it has to go through a more restricted path. It's always better to fit a pump with gravity systems.. Generally, with gravity fed systems it is not the distance from the boiler, it is the depth below the expansion tank in the loft (usually).
With vented or non-vented pressure systems, unless there is something wrong with your system then the hot water should be delivered at mains pressure so you shouldn't have any difficulty fitting a thermostatic shower mixer anywhere.

Wouldn't you need good water pressure from the boiler for 10.2/min.
My boiler is three average sized rooms away from my shower, would you require a pump?

Got this the other week and had to return it, it doesn't say on the website, but you'll need 20mm pipes out the wall, and the one I'm replacing is 15mm, and I couldn't be arsed with doing all the extra work involved to change them to 20mm.
Hot for what it is when you compare to others and output/brand etc.

Pipework is usually 15mm or 22mm, this shower will almost certainly require 15mm outlets at 150mm centres, you'll need a shower wall fixing kit to make the job easy as the supplied ones are usually offset ones which nobody really uses
