The stilton cheese for £1.45 for 220g at Lidl is great too. I did see a 454g wedge of stilton for £2.99 today in store. It too has to be used up within 3 days of opening.

Normal price. Not on offer. Good for those who don't know.

The Edam is super yummy and they are big slices so one is enough for a whole sandwich. Look out for the weeks when they do XXL offers as even better value.

Beware about the Lidl XXL offers. The Gouda offer a while back was very, very cheap per kg. But when they were doing their XXL promotion the other month I noticed some of the other instore XXL deals were worse value than their normal size products. I saw Gelatelli ice creams that were definitely more expensive per unit, and I think there was a washing liquid which was more per litre than the normal. Of course, craftily, because they have the promotional items on a stand away from the normal size ones it's not easy to compare prices.

Agree this is normal price as I buy it. They recently had some Edam slabs of cheese on offer and honestly I know why it was on offer it was horrible.
