I ordered the 25m on line for £25 since I had a 10% discount to use up. Went in today to pick up and noticed 45m only £2 more so a quick return and purchase using a diamond card for 10% off again.
edit, this is 13A not 10A as earlier stated.

Good deal but remember to unroll the whole lot of cable if you are using it!!! Cable on a reel will heat up and cause a fire when in use if you are pulling high current!

Someone always says this on every deal about a long length extension lead, I have seen several builders only roll out enough for what they need and leave it plugged in all week without any problems. Personally I would unplug it when not in use but I never bother rolling out all the cable on my 45m lead, which I have done on countless occasions without any issues

this unit is 13A, don't know why I thought 10A earlier, the 45m is £31.98 in screwfix
Same as the usb mains plugs. Someone always says it is dangerous as it is permanently on. lol!

Nice, this should reach the house two doors down which has sockets on the garage

Yes, if you put "melted extension cord" in a google search, you get a lot of hits
Hmm using a Huawei phone?

Some of these are double rated. One rating for amps coiled and one normally full 13amps unravelled.

This seems to be wattage rated, 3120 unwound 720 fully wound.
To the OP, is this a very flexible cable or did they cheap out?

how do these Masterplug reels compare to Brennenstuhl? Is the build quality about the same?

very flexible, outer diameter about 7mm. I have some heavy 13A extensions which are a pain. this one can easily be knotted around a newel post or spindle (yes i do that). its good enough for 99% if tasks, I would not be using it to boil a kettle and making toast at the same time though.
