Great set of speakers for great price with decent stands thrown in too ! These speakers have got great reviews everywhere so well worth a punt at this price. Speakers rrp at 99 but can be found a couple of pound cheaper and the stands I think retail at 49.99 for the pair

In spec says; " 50 watts of clean, articulate stereo sound" and on back of unit says; "Powered Speaker", so yes, amplifier built in to and just feed audio.

i have the 4s, very capable speaker i was a bit surprised.
my only criticism is if you are listening at low levels, the passive speaker is quieter than the active.
paid £100 alone for the 4s, so this is a bargain with the stands :smiley:

Great speakers. i bought the 5" version last year. Great quality sound and bluetooth too
