From the Richer Sounds website 8 bit screens reproduce 16.8 million colours. 10 bit screens vastly increase the colour count to 1 billion colours. FRC (Frame Rate Control) uses cyclic algorithms to offer 10 bit performance from an 8 bit panel.

Why would you trust what Samsung is saying about LG TV?

No, this one has a proper RGB display. Its the cheaper £500 rgbw panels that can't resolve 4k properly, its more like 2.8k
The blurb on Costco page says 10 bit - the info from Samsung says 10 bit - what's FRC ?
The link you have posted says 10 bit panel ?

Sounds good to me - and a lot more than other TV's around the same price seem to offer.
It also has Harmon Kardon sound system on board so hopefully wont need amp/soundbar
I have looked into the web os3 system it uses and it looks like you can have apps from usa/uk all on same app screen - ie a mixture of hulu, bbc iplayer, netflix etc all on one screen - you have to do a bit of fiddling (an easy guide would be helpful - I do have a Harmony remote which I think you need - plus a dns service).
I was going to go for the Hisense as I have a 55inch which is awesome - but this seems thinner and the viewing angle seems better,
I believe Netflix and Amazon apps are 4k / hdr / dolby vision from the get go...........
Opening post
Good deal if someone is specifically looking for 65" tv

Only 3 hdmi's.
I've been looking for a 65 inch 4k tv and gone for this.
90 days to return if not happy (keep the box) - plus 5 year guarantee and 6 months sky q (not sure how this works if you already have normal sky ?
