Not a problem, simply glue one on, it may not work but at least it will have one.

Adapters available for £1.18, probably cheaper elsewhere but just a quick search (https://www.amazon.co.uk/HQ-HDMI-DVI-Connectors-Superior-Reproduction/dp/B000LB3YMY/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1489022741&sr=8-15&keywords=HDMI+to+DVI).

Why would a company build a monitor and not include HDMI and/or Display Port in 2017?!

I'm gutted (well I would be if I had bought one at the higher price)

I need a large cheap monitor and there are none. The cheapest I've seen was £250 that was also stupidly curved.

HDMI is still relevant (especially 2.0 for 4k) but DVID I can see dying as Nvidia haven't included it for the 1080ti because it doesn't support 4k 60Hz, I know it doesn't apply here but nice to know. More important approaching higher resolutions and framerates but anything like this 1080p 60Hz I can see your point.
