I want this for the Penguin car from batman returns...
Includes four minifigures: Batman, The Penguin, Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth, plus two Hench-Penguin figures, each with robot-style hands.
Put the Bruce Wayne minifigure in one side of the transformation chamber and rotate to reveal the hidden Batman minifigure.
This action-packed set features a highly detailed Batcave, Batboat and The Penguin's Duckmobile.
The Batcave features a rotating transformation chamber, raised and rotating control center with bat-shaped Batcomputer with multiscreen elements, rotating chair, elevating platform function, two cabinets to hide Batman's Batarangs, plus Batman logo tile, prison with exploding escape wall function and a rotating wardrobe with three different Batsuits (minifigure bodies) for Batman.
Activate the elevating platform to move a minifigure from the ground to the Batcomputer control center.
I wish I'd bought it 2 weeks ago when Toys R Us had an extra 20% off

Probably but it's always hard to tell for sure especially with a theme based on a specific movie.
It depends on theme, price and popularity: more expensive sets for Star Wars, Superheroes, Angry Birds and Nexo Knights released in January-March 2016 are still available (for example https://www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-76051-Captain-America-Airport/dp/B013JQDK0S) and Lego themselves were selling off a number sets released this quarter half price this January.

LEGO have over-produced these (as normal) and a lot will hang around for a long time like a bad smell. I'd expect them all to be around for at least another year and then be heavily discounted to get rid of them. The movie wasn't that good TBH.

thanks for the answer very little investment potential for quite a few years then as every hole in the hedge seems to be stocking these in quantity, must say though the Riddler and the Penguin sets are looking like the business.

Sources? Also why the negative connotations of sets remaining? Why do you care so much if they don't sell? Did u buy a lot of sets for investment rather than love that never returned? Personally I like a lot of these sets especially the penguin car ( currently 23.99) and I'd buy them for that reason. You can make an educated guess on lines that won't sell well, angry birds movie never was going too and was cert never going to be an investment line. Star Wars ip's from TFA / Rogue one are still new and just because they aren't 'classic' sets will not be as valuable for the most part (personality I think certain rogue one sets will eventually gain but not to the same extent). Batman vs superman sets were never going to due great, kids didn't watch the film adults didn't like it. Ultimately the things that really return are the ideas sets but most of all the Star Wars UCS sets, for good reason. They are most expensive tbw so have a lower chance of being 'big' sellers. Ultimately some people will just be interested in sets for what they are. I like the batman movie sets, I liked the film too but that's cos I'm the demographic it was aimed at. An adult comic nerd that's never grown up. I was disappointed by the ending but it was always going to be more niche than the Lego movie. Which some sets give a good return on but you have to remember it's now 4 yrs old.
If your looking into sets as investment pieces you have to play the waiting game. And gamble. I never bought the double decker couch from lego movie because I had one in the sea cow set, but that can sell for 3 times it's retail. I wish it got it, but because I really liked it even though there was one in the sea cow. C'est la vie. :sunglasses:

There's no way that you'll get RRP for a Sea Cow let alone 3x. The days of LEGO investing are long gone and there are so many people losing money these days.

You didn't read what I wrote. Believe that if u want but I'm still making money on sets but then I buy them cos I like them. If they go up great, if not I've got a set I like to keep. Win-win. :sunglasses:

Seems to be all about the mini figures these days. Check on eBay and you'll find loads of sets brand new just missing the figures. They hold their value and take up less room in storage.
