In the hunt for a matching 8GB Ram for my rig for years now, but this deal looks a steal. Amazon current price £55.97 and hasn't budged in time now.

RAM prices are really terrible at the moment. Could get a decent set of 16gb crucial ballistix 1600mhz CL9 for £38.99 a few months ago... and now the same set is £120. Pretty gross

Not a company I've heard of, so guessing Amazon won't price match them. Shame as I have vouchers sitting on my account.

I ordered a 16gb set of Crucial Ballistix from Amazon for £72, it had an estimated delivery time of 1-3 weeks, it's been around 3 weeks now and I doubt they will ever come. This deal sounds like it will be similar.

anyone care to recommend a decent desktop unit - SSD drive with 240gb is essential
thank you

Always build it yourself for best value. Possibly start with a barebones from somewhere like Novatech. An SSD around that size is usually unlikely as standard unless you spend serious money. What are you looking to do with it?

In that case I would recommend buying a PC you are happy with even second hand for if you only need basic processing capability. Then buy yourself an SSD separately. As long as the the PC has a Windows 10 licence tied to the motherboard, just disconnect mechanical hard drive and replace with SSD and connect the HDD as a secondary drive. Grab an 8GB+ memory stick and use the windows tool to build you a bootable image and reinstall windows yourself. This method will also avoid any bloatware that comes with a branded prebuilt system.

Looks like it was too good to be true, just had my order cancelled and refunded
