Henry or Henrietta hoover £89.10 from ao.com using code FLOORCARE10, free next day delivery, 2 yr manufacturer warranty plus extra £1.49 cashback from Quidco. Not as cheap as some of the recent local deals but good price compared to Argos, Currys etc.
This morning I spread the Lurpak on my Hovis before squirting the Colgate on my Oral-B then I was about to bathe under the Triton but I tripped over the bloody vacuum.

Yes, because they designed to last the test of time unlike others
By the way OP "Hoover is a brand name" these are actually "Vacuum Cleaners" lol just being picky!

I think it's ok to call it a hoover. It's basically become part of the language. Technically yeah, boring boring, but who actually calls it a 'vacuum cleaner' in everyday speech?
Also, they don't last as long as you'd think, mostly because you'll end up kicking the sh*t out of it when you become so exasperated at the flipping thing getting stuck behind every corner, table leg, doors, obstacles that aren't even there...

Hmm, it's been over a day and no one's asked you where you brought it to! This site is going down hill.

Not actually as reliable as perceived, I have bought a couple that had died out of warranty, but parts supply is great, common failure parts readily available, they are great if dealing with after effects of building works!!.not sure I would use as everyday cleaner, upright much easier on back!!

Totally agree. Pipes get loose and fittings fall off.
