Why? I'm still using tins date BBE 2014. There's nothing wrong with them.:smirk:

Why buy something that only has a month or 2 left on BBE if there is new stock further back on the shelf. lol
As for the beans you either don't eat them very often or were greedy and bought a container full. If the price is right, Why not !!

I agree Asda usually have decent dates on their canned goods, the 30 tins of soup I bought had 2018 but there were some tins with a 2017 date on them. Always worth checking if you are buying more than a couple. Some good bargains to be had in B&M on short date tinned items.

Tastes change.:smirk:
It's tins of corned beef I bought in 2012 that I still have, although I also have some 'out of date' soup. I used to have a tin every week, now it's only about once every 6 months.
There's nothing wrong with any of them though. I don't subscribe to the manufacturers hope that I'll throw away my food and buy some more, just because of a random number (date) they printed on the tin.
