I've tried the former, it was alright but make sure you set aside 1.5 hours. Enjoy :-)

wouldn't it be a kind act if you could take a homeless person who needs their hair cutting.

Experience really depends on who you get.

Shame there are none in other areas in London.

There's that many people waiting or it takes them that long to do one cut?

It takes them that long to do one haircut I'm afraid.

I have been twice to the Covent Garden branch of the London School of Barbering after booking an appointment online. Both times it has taken an hour for the cut. You do have to remember they are learning which is why they take their time, and there is always a tutor overseeing them in case there are any errors.
The two times I have been I have very happy with the cut and it has been just as good, if not better than ones I have paid for.

Tried this before a few times, it is a bit hit and miss. Your appointments aren't always on time and the quality of the cuts varies wildly, you can have someone who is ready to be signed off as a barber cut your hair or someone who's not cut out to be a barber, on one of their first cuts do your hair. You can walk out with a cut that looks professional or another with one sideburn above the ear and the other below it. Walking out looking like a bit of a goon

I've been several times to the Farringdon branch of London School of Barbering. Never had any concerns over the standard of haircut, as all trainees are always thoroughly supervised.

Ive been to both Farringdon and Covent Garden around 10 times in all I was happy with 6 or 7. One time there was a powercut half way through the haircut.
