Whilst not my favourite place in the world it is certainly worth visiting for the experience. Heading to the desert late afternoon is special - If it's not 50 degrees!

Abu Dhabi is quite cosmopolitan. Yes, they don't allow you to have sex on the beaches and it's advisable to keep covered up unless in designated areas, but the hotels are as luxurious as Dubai hotels and there are some world class restaurants & bars.
Of course it is full of humans of different colour/culture/religious belief. If that puts you off international travel, Southend is nice.

They should offer the opposite for anyone visiting the UK - if you experience any less than 5mm of rainfall during your stay in UK............

Seems a good deal of you like beaches or have loads of money for shopping, but somewhere that has not really appealed to me.
Still hot though even if it's not for me.
