Different things, different purposes.
Standard pillows fail after a few months, no matter what you do.
Feather pillows are an acquired taste, memory foam pillows generally last years.

These are very poor for memory foam pillows. We had 2 we bought from poundstretcher which lasted ages. We bought a new bed so replaced all bedding and these aren't a patch on them. They're heavy but no memory foam quality to them

Can't remember but we have looked at the poundstretcher ones again since and they are no where near like what we had. Guess it's a sign of the time, less for more money

Check out off-gassing before you decide to stick your head on these for 8 hrs a night. Spend a few quid and get a natural latex or wool pillow.
