Yes I would upgrade your package to ultra unlimited infinity endless, inexhaustible, limitless, illimitable, boundless, immeasurable, incalculable, untold, infinite, endless, bottomless, never-ending broadband. I know it costs a bit nore but at least you will be able to sleep at night knowing you won't exceed you limit in plain old unlimited.

It's now £174.98 and you get Doom with it.

Yeah I think there's a reason these are cheap, I ordered one but it was faulty, it would play on low settings but as soon as I turned up the detail in each of my games the card crashed to a solid colour screen in under a minute. Returned the card, they agreed it was faulty, sent me another. Does exactly the same thing. Can't even get 2 minutes into the heaven4.0 benchmark (which isn't exactly demanding anymore) at 1600x900 preset.
And yes I tried both cards with several drivers, different pci-e cables, and even in another machine.
After getting 2 faulty in a row I'm guessing there's a high fault rate with these cards.

That's bad luck, my first card was the same, but thankfully my replacement is working great, I've ran it through its paces on a lot of games and benchmark programs.
I'm getting 85fps on ultra settings on Doom @ 1440p, 155fps @ 1080p, using the Vulkan API.
I would ask them to test a 3rd card before sending it out if you are considering giving them another chance, as it's a great card for the money that will only get better as more games start using DX12 & Vulkan.
You should have got a voucher from the retailer first, then claim the game from amdrewards. Unfortunately, the hitman promo is now over.[/quote]
I did, but AMD have failed repeatedly to authenticate my AMDRewards account, and so no Hitman download. They do manage to send me lots of spam for the new cpu launch and other comps, but still fail to send any reply or activation code for the account.

Dont count on the game code, I bought an AMD card with a Hitman code for myself just after Christmas, AMD are refusing to answer questions about why they wont honour the offer.
Despite only ever buying AMD/ATi since my first PC build in 1998, I will seriously consider changing allegiances after this.

What about the excessive fan noise mentioned in the Hexus review (4GB version, but same cooler)?
1) Is it really that loud?
2) If it is, have you been able to adjust the settings to quieten it without causing it to run too hot?

My card was fine so I've not dug too much. I did do a clean install but I already had a radeon card.

Did you set the card up in Wattman? I'm wondering if the complaints are due to people assuming plug-and-play and not changing any default settings.
Did you have any other card's drivers installed before installing your card?

Will set it to download in the early hours. Probably just being paranoid.

Got the free code for Doom with mine, didn't realise it was 40 - 50gb download from steam. Have got unlimited broadband but a bit apprehensive about downloading that amount when my normal total usage is 40gb.
