and by then, i am hoping amd wil have announced their new lineup of cards. Also, their current lineup, including this, is garbage.

I returned my reference 290x to CEX sold the vouchers at 80% and got the 8gb version. Although it's not the quietest it is much better.

What do you mean? Get a refund for the item? Their strict and smart, they know if its arrived so you cant say its not arrived

im a fan of the company that provides powerful graphics cards, currently that isnt AMD. If AMD announce something that turns out to compete with Nvidia with a more competitive price point, thats the card i might be replacing my aging 780 ti with. The card in this "deal" is garbage compared to a 1060, which i admit is pricier than the rx480, but its beaten by the low end of Nvidia's line up. The high prices that Nvidia command are just a symptom of a lack of competition. what else does amd have to offer? Not a lot.
