I noticed this offer last night – *Morrisons own 2 x 340g (of 100% peanuts crunchy & smooth) Peanut Butter for £2.20 (individual price of £1.80 or £1.90, I think?)
I couldn’t find it online (must be a new item, as I've never seen Morrisons peanut butter without sugar/salt/palm oil) but there was a proper/national ‘2 for £2.20’ price on the shelf.
*CORRECTION - (as per photo) regular price is £1.78 each

Isn't peanut butter really fattening? I think My cholesterol levels would probably go through the roof if I eat this more than twice in a week!

Cholesterol comes from animal products, there's none in 100% peanut butter, gorge away! Still plenty of calories though, so you have to eat it in moderation. I put it in my porridge each morning, delicious

'Stressing' about foods that cause cholesterol can actually increase cholesterol(!) -this product is 100% peanut - NO PALM OIL (BAD), no salt to increase your blood pressure, etc - this is harmless stuff, if eaten in moderation. As per pic, I love my toasted peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Fatty nut oil can be fattening, so moderation is key.

Unless you're the one third of people who are susceptible to dietary cholesterol it's won't matter a jot. if you are in that third, aww wee shame.
Either way, trans fats (not even sat fats) are the things to avoid. A couple of cows, and a hundred or so unhatched chickens a year (amongst other and my 'bad' cholesterol decreased...as did my BP.

worth mentioning (I think I might to Morrisons) that the plastic lids (I've bought a few) seem to crack easily and one of the jars that I got from the shelf had started to leak - new product, new (crappy) packaging? they need to know

Yeah, some of them leak, and sometimes it's difficult to remove that while plastic membrane that covers jar.
It requires a good stirring right to the bottom before eating as well.
On the positive note, the content itself is very good.

Just incidentally palm oil isn't universally bad, there are sustainable sources and it's not like some other out of favour type ingredients that simply increase shelf life etc.. if you've never had palm oil free you're in for a shock, it can be a bit like eating glue.
