Hey I've just been to the cinema this evening and apparently you can use the 25% off NUS on food and drink. Not just student tickets as it says on the NUS website. I haven't tried this but it might even take off 25% off all tickets that's in the same group as the student ticket.
I just looked on the NUS website and apparently it's not valid for food or drink?
But after I bought the student ticket I decided to get buy icecream. The cashier tested the discount barcode for it and it worked. I didn't ask about it as I thought it was just restricted to tickets. The cashier was the one who suggested giving it a go.

Many thanks.
I noticed yesterday that tickets I bought last week from odeon for myself and a friend had a 25% discount on the receipt for both tickets but assumed that the cashier had just presumed we were both students.
I'll try it on refreshments next time!

Yeah the discount might apply when you pay everything together. I would test it next time but I don't usually buy food there as it is a bit pricey.

Hmmm, this is interesting.
I have an NUS card but many of my friends do not.
Will be interesting to see if this is now the case that it is indeed 25% of any and everything.

This is great!
A bottle of water and a bag of maltesers is over £5 at my local Odeon so instead I take some from home which cost me about £1 total . But with this I'll only be paying £4 ish, bargain!
But sarcasm aside, this is a good offer for those that choose to pay the high prices anyway! I do cringe a little when the person in front orders 2 tickets and some food and then pays £40 for the lot, but that's just the HUKD side of my brain kicking in :man:

It doesn't say in the T&C's but I'd be surprised if they do. I don't think you'd get any chance having the discount paying monthly but I think the only way it MIGHT work is if you pay upfront for the whole contract. Thats if you can pay upfront at the cinema.
