This seems to have popped back up again on a different URL (sneaky!).
I'll pop my previous bumph in...
I've been looking around for another genuine Xbox battery for the boys controller. I purchased one myself when Amazon had them for £11.99 and now need another. The price at Amazon has gone back up to £16.14.
Student Computers have them for £9.99 delivered but they're not in their original packaging. They are advertised as '[i]x-display and un used cancelled orders' and in 'an As New condition' with a 12 month guarantee.
Charger cable is £2.39, I had a few delivered today and seem brand new just not in any boxing.

Tempted to grab a cable or two. Decent length and the LED is nice, usually use mine to charge my temperamental hudl as its more secure!

Also do we know the mAh capacity of this? I searched high and low but couldn't find anything before opting for some high capacity 2400mah x 2 = 4800mah.
They last about 2 weeks and then I just swap them out and bulk charge every couple of months. Not had a cable in the controller for a very long time!
You're a star thanks!
Didn't actually know whether these were big capacity and I'd done some false economy going the batteries route.

This might be a personal preference but I prefer the official play and charge kit because you can charge it while you play through the controller itself never having to swap out batteries or mess around with battery chargers.

venom kit in tesco, x 2 batteries with 3m twin lead £9.98. seem to last ok and will "play and charge" . similar price in Argos also for Venom range.

I almost went for that, but the last one of these deals threads changed my mind after a couple of people said that the charge didn't last as well over time as the official one. As I only have one pad & rarely get a chance to play for more than a couple of hours in a sitting (thanks kids, thanks wife!) the extra battery isn't necessary.

They also have the genuine Xbox One Micro-USB Controller Cable if want to add to your order as a backup for £2.49.
