Hi there people! Popped into my local Aldi and seen this tilda rice for 29p, it's the 250g microwave rice, the brown basmati flavour! Stock up now before Doris destroys us and we're trapped in our abodes forever! :-))

The Regular rice in value packaging costs just 39p for 1kg in almost any store!!
Shocker, I know, but they are the same rice! Ok they aren't pre-steamed to cook faster in microwave, but do people seriously don't know how to cook Rice?
hint- You can cook the ''normal'' rice in microwave as well.

It's not that people don't know how to cook rice, it's that this is a convenient alternative when needed!!

Home bargains have nice whole grain brown basmati for £1 per kilo just now but it takes 25 mins to cook. This Tilda micro rice is great for when time is short or for camping/caravan as it can also be cooked in minutes in a pan. Good find OP

Value rice unfortunately has had all the goodness processed out of it. This is brown and basmati. Double good!!
