CODE:MAFIA777
It’s 1968 and after years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. Now back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family on the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white knuckle driving and street smarts will all be needed. But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld.
NEW BORDEAUX, A REIMAGINED 1968 NEW ORLEANS:
A vast, diverse and seedy open world ruled by the mob and corrupt officials and richly detailed with the sights, sounds and emotionally-charged social atmosphere of the era.
AN UNINTENDED AND LETHAL ANTI-HERO:
Be Lincoln Clay, an orphan and Vietnam veteran hell bent on revenge against the Italian Mafia for the brutal slaughter of the black mob, the closest thing to family he’s ever had.
REVENGE YOUR WAY:
Choose your own personal play-style, from brute force and blazing guns to stalk-and-kill tactics as you use Lincoln’s military training and gathered intel to tear down the Italian Mafia.
A NEW FAMILY ON THE ASHES OF THE OLD:
Build a new criminal empire in your own unique way by deciding which of your lieutenants you reward, and which you betray…

Yer, give {} a chance.
Bought. Well, I had to after I bought a new PC to play it, then the game was patched so I could have played it on the old one. Either that or it'll stay on the shelf for eternity.

Very tempting, from what I have read the PC port has been massively improved over the months since release.

That's arguable. For me the performance on a 1070 is absolutely abysmal.I can barely keep 30fps. Some people report improvements but it's really a mixed boat.
I spent £11 on that game, and to this day I feel it's the worst spent £11 of my life.

The price of this game is dropping faster than the pound.

I heard this was basically just a port from the console version, anyone know if its still worth playing?

i would avoid, tried to play it again a few weeks ago and its just as bad as it was. Just look at steam reviews only 45% positive overall. Wouldn't even bother if it was free & it's very repetitive.

one of the big things that's putting me off of this game is the lack of fast travel, meaning you have to drive everywhere, which gets tiresome sometimes

Bought it. Runs 40-50 fps in 1440p max on a gtx 1070. I'd say still poorly optimised but playable for me. Story seems interesting, at least the cut scene at the beginning got me a little hooked.

Have this on ps4. It's poorly optimised for that too. Falling through maps, floating cars, graphical glitches, and as mentioned earlier the clothing moving around in cutscenes. The story is good, but was excited to u lock some extra stuff when I completed it by collecting the blue items. Found out you get nothing for doing so. So just do the story and you're done.

Completed the game then needed 2 months mental therapy at specialised facility.

Haha I also have a 1070, can confirm. I've only played an hour so far and it really hasn't hooked me in like 2 did.

Shame really, I enjoyed the first 2 hours I played but the performance literally ruined it for me.
