Heated, fantastic game, really glad it is at last getting a physical release and collectors edition to boot, definitely a more than deserving game.

Is it similar to the Harvest Moon games?

Yes, very, like a spiritual successor to them, at least the earlier 2D ones that focused primarily on farming, some of the later harvest moon games were more like regular RPGs, which kind of takes away what made it unique in the first place. thankfully stardew valley is very much early harvest moon in style, but still has plenty of things outside of the farm to keep it interesting.

This game is so good, I need to start playing it again. A bargain at this price, hours and hours of fun to be had. Heat

I got this from a humble monthly bundle... And it's fantastic! Very much like harvest moon.
Given the nature of the game (and just how I prefer playing in general) I'll wait till the switch version comes out so I can play this anywhere.

It is indeed one of the best games of last year. Very addicting once you start playing and there's plenty of things you can do and people to interact with.

Good game to start with but soon becomes rather repetitive. At this price though and if you haven't played it before on the PC i'd give it a try.

Very grindy, particularly at lower levels, but there's lots to do. Farming, raising animals, foraging, crafting from produce, caving, mining and fighting monsters, fishing, and using your gains to rebuild the community centre or give gifts to raise your social status.

Kids played this all for about 30 minutes and individualy got bored then wandered off. Very old fashioned, basic looking, grindy and slow. Feels like a 99p mobile game.

Not a game made for young kids at all. Requires some thinking and planning. Graphics quality aside, it's a very high quality game... As user reviews show. Just not one for your kids unless they're older or quite bright.
