I'm not exactly sure if the other releases were also limited to 2,000 but stating it on the listing didn't help with the stock.

Limited to 2,000 each run they do more like. We've run out, no problem here's another 2,000 and so on and so forth. Zavvi and limited edition makes a mug out of the consumer.
