Looks like this one is gone now? Just had a look and 'Very Good' PS3 Slim is showing as £79.99, with no additional discount available (took it right through to checkout). Any other ideas to try (codes, etc.)?

best way is to just look on gumtree to see if anyone's selling one already done. can usually pick them up under 100

I bought a used PS3 last summer to catch up on all the games I'd missed being a PC gamer for the last decade or so.
So far I've played: Red Dead Redemption, Uncharted 1-3, Journey, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Ni No Kuni, Okami HD
I highly recommend getting one to anyone like me who hasn't played these games yet. Plus it's a surprisingly decent Blu-ray/streaming services player.

I still have my original from 2006 (so old it doesn't even have a HDMI port  ), still works to this day. Bought a newer one when I was away from home and that RROD'd after a few years. Go figure!

After having owned a couple of OG 360s that red ringed I've now had my slim for years running strong. I think I'd recommend spending the extra to get a slim over the originals

Might be worth it just for all the ps plus games I've been collecting :smirk:

I had to change the laser on mine after a year or so (about 6 quid from ebay). Has been fine ever since! I guess the original units weren't built to last long.

with the rrod and extended Warranties I owned 6 Xbox 360's and the only one that lasted and I still own is my elite, but it happens, some consoles worked perfectly, some barely worked at all.

The drives on the Xbox Elites are terrible, I spent hours opening and closing the drive for the disc to read. (also an Xbox guy)
Opening post
PS3 includes a Blu-Ray player so this price is a bargain in my opinion not to mention the amazing games that built for it.
